Before you said you loved me.
Now all you do is hurt me.
Before your eyes glimmered in the light.
Now they stand, deep at night.
Your gaze so cold among my grave.
I wish you would just go away.

But only it was the begging.
For you saw me as weak.
And decided that weak was easy.
But my heart was no conspiracy theory.
Pedals would fall every moment you would pass my frail figure.
Those petals only to be stomped into the ground by carefree people deciding to pay no attention to the scene above them.

For I remember all those times you would look at me and meet my gentle gaze from across canteens or classrooms.

I always knew the end was near so why waste it on silly colors and big cakes.
I devoted my life to simple sadness for that in itself made me unique.
The black jeans and long eyelashes gave off a long glow of envy, but I didn't want that.
