November 25th 1996
"I'm so happy to be singing for you guys tonight, I really want to say that I love you guys! LETS ROCK THIS NEW YORK!!!" I screamed into my microphone. The crowd roared and chanted "Vanessa!!!" I finally started my first tour in Queens, New York. It took a while to get me to go on stage, a lot of backlash came out when I announced that I was going on tour and because of my dad being the greatest showman to be on stage it was a huge thing to step up and be perfect. I just wanted to have fun and be myself just like my dad always told me to be.

I strived to be better than what they expected me to be, which was a failure.
After the first show was over, I was left alone by myself to reminisce on tonight's show, I smiled the whole time. I was sitting in front of my mirror on my chair. While I was smiling about how happy I made the audience tonight, I looked at myself in the mirror and looked at myself, I observed myself and it was quite clear that I was here in the moment and I finally made it, my eyes made it down to a polaroid photo of my father and I. It hit me like never before, I suddenly heard silence and closed my eyes I heard his voice in my head tell me 'You make me feel so proud to be your father darling, I love you pride and joy' as I struggle to open my eyes because honestly I didn't want to open my eyes because I didn't want to his voice to fade away. My heart was breaking right now, I put my face into my hands and started to sob.

I made it a mission to have Johnny on tour with me at all times, he was very supportive plus he was around since wrapping up his new movie that was going to be released on July 30th called "the Brave" also starring Marlon Brando.
We did so many different things on tour, it was my tour the way I wanted it, I was in charge, even though my father had me always by his side when dealing with what him and Queen wanted it to be on their tour, so in a way I was used to do things like this, and it wasn't new to me at all.

We toured everywhere in Dallas, Memphis, Detroit, Boston, New York , Pennsylvania, st. Louis, Pittsfield, Chicago, Kansas, Montreal in Canada, and Oakland.

The premiere to Johnny's new movie "the Brave" invited me to go and he wanted to bring me as a date because we've been dating for 8 months and we've been enjoying each other so much, when we got their all eyes were on us, questions they asked me while walking the red carpet were...

"Aren't you on tour?"
tour is going amazing, i have such amazing fans and I really love it, I'm pretty used to from when my dad was alive but other than that I'm having an amazing time.

What are you wearing tonight?
this is Versace, and I love it *spins in a slow circle*

How does it feel being 33 because girl you look amazing!
oh damn, honestly I don't even look like it, but I'm pretty lucky you know I have a young face *smiles* but no seriously I feel like a old soul I'm 77 inside though *laughs*

Would you consider being an actress?
well, right now I'm actually just focusing on my music and who knows you know, I just really am loving where I'm at in life right now. But forsure my piano and music are my #1 right now but acting does sound really fun!

What can we expect to see on your tour?
lots and lots of energy because I love a show where everyone is on their feet and so tired at the end of the show, as things are different from what I was growing doing this with my dad, the crowd was literally worshiping him and Queen at their feet so *laughs* no pressure!! AND lights too I want so much energy. And fans are going to get to hear my new album so there's that and then I will be doing in the middle of the show where I'm going to be doing a very special dance where I play a tribute to my heritage.

lots and lots of fruit, I eat nothing but fruit and a lot of water but my parents blessed me with good genes too but I'm just saying...
