Ares just stands there in front of me. His dark blue soccer jersey hides the green t-shirt wearing in practice, his umbrella over his head and his free hand in the pocket of his black shorts. He looks like what he is: An athletic, classy guy.

His shoulders are relaxed, as if he hasn't just scared me so much that I almost fainted. It's the first time I face him this way, his height intimidates me. His eyes are slightly squinted.

"You scared me." I accuse, holding my chest. He says nothing, just keeps watching me in silence.

Seconds that feel like years pass until a mocking smile unfolds on his lips, "You deserve it."

My mind races, looking for an answer, "Why?"

"You know why." He turns his back on me and starts walking back to the mausoleums. Oh no, I'm not going to stay here alone by any means.

He doesn't seem to mind the fact that I follow him like a lost dog.

Ares arrives at a clearing and sits on a tomb, putting his umbrella to the side. I stand there, staring at him like an idiot. He pulls out a box of cigarettes from his pocket and his cigarette lighter. I already knew he had that habit, what kind of stalker would I be if I didn't?

He lights a cigarette, and then releases the white smoke out of his mouth slowly. He doesn't look at me, absorbed in his thoughts.

So he came here to smoke. It's a long walk just for that. Although, it makes sense, his parents wouldn't be happy about his star son smoking. I know he does it secretly.

"Are you going to stand there all night?" His voice is so cold for someone so young.

I sit on a grave in front of him, keeping my distance. His eyes fell on me as he exhaled the smoke from his cigarette. I swallow.

I don't know what I'm doing but I won't go back alone to that dark road, "I'm just waiting for you not go back by myself." I feel the need to explain why I'm still here.

Ares gives me a crooked smile, "What are you doing here, Rachel?" Hearing him say my name makes my stomach feel funny.

"I came to visit a relative." Liar, liar.

Ares raises an eyebrow, "Really? Who?"

"My... is a distant relative."

Ares nods, throwing his cigarette on the ground to step on it and turn it off. "Sure, and you decide to come and visit that relative in the rain, at night?"

"Yes, I didn't realize it was already so late."

Ares leans forward, placing his elbows on his knees, staring at me, "Liar."

"Excuse me?"

"We both know you're lying."

My face feels hot, "Of course not."

He gets up and I feel helpless sitting in front of him so I get on my feet. We face each other, my throat dry.

"Why are you following me?" His voice is so automatic, it makes me wonder if he is incapable of human emotions.

I swallow thickly. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Ares steps closer me and I back away cowardly until my back collides with a mausoleum behind me. He puts his hand against the wall next to my head, making me jump a little, "I don't have time for games, answer me."

My breathing becomes agitated, "I really don't know what you're talking about, I just came to visit my... someone who-"

He cuts me off, "Liar."
