She wasn't coming.

He'd been waiting for her for over thirty minutes and his class had already started ten minutes ago. This was her answer.

He sighed, as his body fell limp against the wall. He felt that annoying itch in his nose, and when that happened he always knew that the waterworks would follow. So he pinched the tip of his nose with his thumb and forefinger and blinked several times. He wasn't going to cry.

There was no point in waiting anymore so he straightened up after a few seconds and started to walk away. He had just turned a corner when he heard running footsteps coming to a stop and someone panted. He paused. And waited.

More panting followed.

Was it her?

He turned back around the corner and caught sight of a bent person, holding onto their knees for support and... crying?

She was wearing a headscarf.
