after tyler's night spent in the hospital, he finally got to go home with brendon.

tyler cried a lot, repeatedly apologizing while brendon just held him. the older decided he couldn't really get mad at tyler for what happened, but he could get mad that tyler had up and left to go see josh.

"m s-sorry b," tyler cried, nudging himself further into brendon's embrace.

"hey, don't worry. it's okay. we're all okay now. i'm not that upset, i'll get over it."

"i-i hurt your f-feelings!" tyler pointed out, only making himself cry harder.

"no you didn't, i'm a tough guy."

"i don't e-ever wanna see josh a-again."

"good. you don't need to."

"y-yeah i know, i'll always have you."

the brunette smiled, finally beginning to calm down.

"so, you told josh i'm your boyfriend huh?" brendon suddenly asked, smirking down at the smaller boy.

"w-what!? no! did he say that? h-he lied!"

"well actually, i told him i was your boyfriend and he went "oh you're who tyler was talking about?"

"you told him that?"

"uh huh."

"so you're my boyfriend? for real?"

"if you want me to be."

a large smile spread across the younger's face as he engulfed brendon in another hug.

"of course i want you to be!"

"good, because i'm in love with you."

"i'm more in love with you."

"no you're not."

"yes i am."

"not."

"am."

"not."

"brendon!" tyler laughed, playfully smacking his shoulder.

"tyler!" brendon mocked in a high-pitched voice, making the two laugh.

tyler had never felt so lighthearted.

he didn't need josh, he had brendon.

brendon and him were in love with each other.

he was finally going to be okay.
