Arriving at the studio was a big deal for Mai. Yes of course she had done a lot of interviews but this was Letterman for God’s sake. He had interviewed her once and it was two years ago it was normal for her to be nervous.
She heard how he called her name and taking a big berth she walked in to the studio shaking hands with Letterman and saying hello to the people in the studio.
“Hello Mai it’s nice to see you.” He said to her as she smiled as the noise was settling down.
“It’s good to be seen.” A smile was on her face Letterman has not changed since the last time she saw him
“Now how have things been going for you? You just returned for your vacation a tour around the world. That must have been something.” He said to her as she started laughing.
“Things are amazing and the tour was the most fun I had in a long time. Since I adore traveling my friend and I decided to pay a visit to the world and to top it all of I went to see my brothers and my parents so it was awesome.” She said with excitement in her voice
“And what about the romantic part? Anyone special in your life?” he said as she laughs it of
“No. I mean me and Ryan Follesé have been briefly involved it was more of a thing of the moment but for now I’m only focusing on my work.”
“Well I think you made a fewthousand women on the world weary happy now.” He said as she smiled at him “Speaking of work I have heard you have a new move coming your way. Is that true?”
“Yeah I have agreed to work with David again after last time I have been so excited to find out if he had something new. The story is original and the point that it happens in the past century is the most exciting part.” She said proud that they had moved from her private life
“So what the story following?” Letterman asked
“It sort of a gangster move with a little detective work and romance on the side.” She said as she could not revile too much
“I name of the move is Blue Butterfly and from the looks of it its going to be a great one.” He said
“I sure hope so.” She said as she smiled
“Your album is coming out in spring some of the songs are already out on the radio and kicking it.”
“Yeah the album is called You are the reason why. It’s a album with most of the songs are written by me and I’m proud of this project and I hope my fans are going to love it to.” He smiled at her as there time started to run out
“Well I wish you all the luck on the move that is going to film in Washington and on the relies of your album this spring. I loved having you and I hope that you come again.”
“I’ll try but it will be hard to forget to call you for an interview.” He laughed at that as he said goodnight
The cameras shut down as Mai was about to leave the studio a hand stopped her
“Miss Perroni it was a pleasure I hope to see you soon again.” Letterman said as they shook hands
“The pleasure was all mine.” She said to him excusing herself to leave because Drew was going to pick her up
When she got in to the car and Drew started driving them down the street to lunch
“So how was it?” he asked her as she turned her head towards him she smiled and said
“Amazing.”
Sorry for the late update but things got in the way and I didn’t know what to write so forgive me. So Mai is going to get a surprise in the next chapter when she meets her costar and her agent James is going to be in a bit of a trouble for it. Don’t worry she won’t kill him.
