Chapter 3:

"H..here" I hold out  the pieces of paper for Marcus. He snatches it from my hand before shoving me into the locker and walking away, laughing with his friends like someone told a joke.

School went by quickly today, I didn't know whether it was because I had lessons that I liked or because Jessica wasn't in to help Marcus make my life a living hell.

I get home and throw a quick 'hi' over my shoulder at my mum before climbing the stairs to my room. My parents knew that every Friday, Lilly and I had a sleep over and watched titanic and had a fun night. I pack my comfiest pair of pjs before getting some black ripped jeans and a hoodie for the morning. I pack my essentials that I was going to need, like my phone charger.

I heard my phone go off and checked it to see that Lilly had messaged me.

Lilly: Hey girl, wanted to know when you were coming over. I'll pick you up if you want? :)

I called her instead of texting her back and she answered on the second ring.

"Hello?" She says, a smile is evident in her voice.

"Hey Lill's, I've just finished packing my bag and I'm going to say goodbye to my parents and I'll be on my way" I smile when she squeals happily.

"Need a ride, it would be no trouble at all?" She asked and I smiled, shaking my head even though she couldn't see me.

"No, it is okay. I'll walk to yours" I grin.

"Okay, I'm so excited! I'll see you soon" She says cheerily before the line goes dead.

I put on my comfiest pair of trainers and a jacket before I grab my bag and phone, and walk downstairs to my parents.

"Have a good time" My dad smiled.

"Thank you, I will" I say and my mom smiled at me.

"See you tomorrow!" I say before I shut the door behind me.

I walk down the door and began to walk to Lilly's house, since she didn't live too far away.

I see that the driveway was empty which meant that her parents were away, they usually were on a Friday as they let us be alone whilst they go on a date.

I knock on the door and almost immediately the door is open and Lilly pulls me in.

"Hey Sympathy!" She beams, pushing her long, blonde curls over her shoulder. Her baby blue were filled with excitement as she tugged me in. "I have so much to tell you!" She squeals, pretty much bouncing with excitement.

"About who... and what?" I ask with a smile as we walk into her room. I see a pile of pillows at the end of her queen sized bed and the room was dark and, I'm guessing, she put on titanic for us and paused the movie.

"Mike!" She smiled happily, "but we can talk about him later. I've just ordered pizza- your favorite. It should be here in 2 and then we will watch the movie" She says with a wide smile.

"Okay, sounds good" I say just as the doorbell goes off.

"That must be the pizza. I'll be right back!" She smiled before rushing downstairs for pizza.

That girl has always been my best friend, she has saw me at my worst and my best and has stuck by me with everything- even when I was being difficult. I remembered how we met. Our parents knew each other so we have known each other for pretty much all our lives but I remember how she was friendly and made me feel welcome at such a young age (since I've been getting bullied most of my life).

"Here you go" Lilly hands me a pizza box before we both lay on our stomachs and lean on the pillow. She presses play and the movie begins.

After the movie, we both wiped our tears and sit up.

"So what did you want to tell me about your new boyfriend?" I ask, she puts music on quietly in the background as we both lay back onto her bed and get comfy.

"Well, his name is Mike, he is a year older than me and we get on really well" She says with a smile, "the best thing is, he can handle me when I'm angry, and not many people can do that" She jokes and I chuckle.

"You're hardly ever angry" I point out which was true. Lilly looked for the positives in any situation, she always forgot the negative possibilities and looked for ways in which the situation could benefit her- or anyone for that matter.

"True but he is just a sweet person anyway" She smiled.

The night continued with us talking in general and it made me the happiest I've been all week... I really don't know what I would do when she leaves for college.
