Chapter 6

Indie's POV

I had only been there for a day and already been shipped with two of the guys. It made me laugh thinking that people thought I would be cute with them.

It was the next day and I was getting ready for my beach day with Cameron.

I shared a room with Mahogany and Shawn. We stayed up all night last night talking, even though we were super tired.

Shawn had gone to a different room but Mahogany stayed.

Cam knocked on the door.

"Hey, you ready?" he asked.

"Yea! Almost."

I grabbed my phone and sunglasses. Cam already had towels.

"Ready!" I said. "See you later Mahogany."

"Have fun!"

I closed the door and started to walked down to the car with Cameron.

"Um, Cam?" I asked, nervously.

"Yea?"

"What is this?"

"What do you mean?"

"Is this a date or just hanging out or something?"

I felt weird asking but I had to know.

He blushed, laughed a little, and said,

"No! Never! We're just friends right?"

He looked away from me.

"Right! I was just wondering, you know?" I laughed.

By now we wears getting in the car. He started the engine, backed out of the parking space, and drove off.

We didn't talk the whole car ride.

Cam's POV

"Is this a date or just hanging out or something?"

I felt my cheeks get red and tried to laugh it off.

"No! Never! We're just friends right?"

Never.

I couldn't look at her.

"Right! I was just wondering you know?"

No. I didn't know.

I didn't talk the entire car ride so Indie didn't talk either.

I wasn't mad just disappointed, but I shouldn't have even put the thought of us being something into my mind. She was too good for me. I should have realized that.

By the time we got to the beach I decided to shake it off.

"I'll race you to the water." I said mocking what she had said to me yesterday.

"It's on!" She said, starting to run.

I caught up and started jogging next to her.

"Let's stop. You win." I said. We were at a good place to put down our stuff.

"You'll really let me win?"

"Yea."

I put the towels down and started to lay them out.

"Hmmm... No way!" she said, laughing.

She ran to the water, leaving me staring at her in surprise.
