I was dating Laney but I was in love with Indie.
I had been in love with her since the day we met. Everything about her made my heart stop. It scared me a little bit, because I had never felt that way about anybody.
She was gorgeous. I loved the way she ran her fingers through her hair every 2 minutes. I loved the sound of her voice and laugh. I loved how her eyebrows wrinkled right before she cried and how she hugged me every time is said something "cute". I loved her.
It hurt, watching love anybody other than me. Even more so that they were two of my closest friends.
I didn't understand what was wrong with me. I tried so hard to be there for her, everyday and all the time. Why couldn't she see that? I even helped her figure out how to still date Nash when she was blackmailed.
The only problem was, she was dating my best friend and I could see how in love they were with each other. She always told me I was her best friend and I was so happy, but I wanted more than that.
I wanted to her to love me the way I loved her. Unconditionally.
