I combed down my bangs impatiently. "Hurry up!" I yelled. Keefe glared at me, sticking some gel to his hair. "You know, I know I can roll out of bed and look hot, but perfection takes time. Specifically, me." he said. Quite vainly, I must add. I glared holes at his back. "Seriously, guys, come on!" Dex said, sitting on a plush-stuffed chair. I silently agreed.

We were all getting ready at Everglen, where us boys usually hung out. I impatiently tapped my foot on the ground, making an annoying tap tap tap noise. After five long minutes, Keefe gave out. "Honestly, would you please just stop?!" he exclaimed sharply. I tapped my chin thoughtfully. "No." I replied. He growled, turning to me sharply, splattering bluish goo on my tunic, causing me to wipe it off, disgusted.

I looked at his hair, which was only halfway mussed from the gel. "Who are you?" I asked, pointing at his hair amusedly. "Oh, I'm Keefe. You?" he asked. "Someone who wishes they've never known who you were." I replied. I heard a soft, ooh from Fitz and Dex and I smiled.

He growled at me as he styled his hair into his normal, mussed style. It was extra messed up this time, though. Like his whole existence. I thought, amused. "Hurry up, Keefe." Fitz said impatiently. I noticed that Fitz and Keefe seemed a little too excited for the gala. "So, Sencen, what's going on?" I asked. His eyes widened. "Huh? Me? No, uh, nothing! Nothing at all." he said quickly.

I rolled my eyes. "Spit it out already." I grumbled. "Alright, fine. Biana's just a bit stingy, that's all." he mumbled. I rolled my eyes. "So, after one tiny fight, you decide to not like her?" I said. He glared at him. "Fine. I don't think it's working out. You know. Biana and I." he mumbled. I was dumbfounded. Dex sat down. "Wow." he said. "Seriously, Keefe?!" I said, surprising myself and others because, well, I said Keefe! "I think I like someone else." I heard him mumble.

"You know, it doesn't really work like that. Just– one little– the smallest fight in history, blown up by yours truly– Keefe Sencen." I rambled, narrowing my gaze at him. He scowled. "It's not working." he said. "Well, don't lead her on, at least!" I snapped.

Fitz stood up. I turned to him. "You too, Fitz. You and Linh are good, right?" I asked. He hesitated. I scowled. "Really? Just like that," I snapped, the noise resounding sharply. "You two are–" I stopped to take a breath. Then I laughed without humor. A dark laugh. "So, what's your excuse, Vacker?" I asked dangerously. He took a large step away from me before answering back. "She's too... clingy. It took me two and a half DAYS to convince her to go to that dinner where Sophie ran out to who knows where! And, she even told me the night before that we should have our own dinner! Just the two of us!" he yelled, pointing at himself for added effect. I scoffed. "The tiniest things!" I shouted. "You are such picky people!" I mumbled, holding back some colorful words. "Well, have you ever even thought that being just around me in Exillium has got something to do with that?" I asked. Fitz's face suddenly lost color.

"Let me guess, you like someone else, too, huh, Vacker?" I asked. He glared at me, then, quite shamefully, nodded. I laughed darkly again and rolled my eyes. "There you go! I think, I just think I know who that is, for the both of you!" I shouted, losing control. Sophie.
