Chapter 5

After that awkward dinner, Mr. Hemmings offered to wash the dishes.

"Michelle help Luke with the dishes." my mother said.

Oh great, more awkward moments coming.

"Ok so do you want to wash or dry them?" He asked.

"I'll supervise, and you do the rest, Mr. Hemmings," I gave him a fake smile.

He gave me a 'bitch please' look and I rolled my eyes.

"Ok, fine, I'll help."

"Oh and call me Luke outside of class, I told you it makes me sound old." He said.

Oops forgot.

After about ten minutes washing the dishes, I got bored. Like damn how many dishes did we use?

"Let's play something," I said, using the towel to dry the dish that he handed me.

"Ok, what?"

"20 questions."

He hesitated for a second, and then he agreed.

"Do you have any siblings?" he asked.

"No," I said, shaking my head.

"Virgin?" I asked.

"What do you think? I'm an attractive twenty one year old who gets horny like most guys."

"I think you are," I said sarcastically, shaking my head up and down.

"I didn't know you were so dense, anyway my turn. Are you a virgin?" he asked raising an eyebrow.

I froze at that question.

"Well... Um... You see... I... No," I blushed.

"So Lucifer, do you do drugs?"

He looked like he was hesitating for a second but all the hesitation was gone as fast as it came.

"Nope," he said, "and Lucifer is not my name."

"You're right, sorry," I answered, "it's Poopy."

"I have another question. What's the real reason why you moved to America?" I asked.

His face went blank until he shook his head.

"Bad, bad things, Michelle," he bit his lip, looking sad.

Me, being the annoying and curious bitch I am, decided to push him and ask for more information.

"But that doesn't explain anything-"

"Jesus, Michelle, let it go," his angry piercing blue eyes looked into my brown ones.

I decided to listen to him and stopped prying.

We finished the dishes in silence and I walked out Luke to the door.

He turned around to face me before he left.

"Look, Michelle, I'm sorry for snapping at you. There's just a lot of bad memories in Australia and-"

"It's ok, I shouldn't have pried, I'm sorry." I apologized.

He smiled, "Alright. I'll see you in class on Monday, yeah?"

I nodded, "bye."

He walked out and I closed the door behind him.

"We ship you guys," I turned around to see Colton and Calum behind me.

"What? No. He's my teacher," I said, shaking my head.
