We stood in silence. I didn't know what to say. I was shocked. How long had Rye known this? I didn't even know that. How did he figure that out?

"So can you please tell me? I want it to stop bothering you." Rye pleaded, snapping me from my thoughts.

"Rye please don't make me. Can't you see that it's something I don't want to talk about it? It's difficult enough for me just to think about it." I replied, on the verge of tears. Rye's eyes softened.

"Okay, okay... I won't keep pestering me. But just promise you'll tell me one day, I don't care if that's tomorrow or in ten years, just promise you'll tell me eventually." Rye asked. I nodded.

"I promise." I smiled. My stomach filled with butterflies as he smiled his gorgeous smile at me-

Wait. Did I really just say that? Wow, that was weird. And why is my stomach swarmed with butterflies? What the heck?

I just shook the thought away and began to make myself some lunch.
