"Ten years and no promotion. Ten long years!" Aimee muttered under her breath.
She was working long hours at a company which she served for Ten years as the secretary. She balanced at her watch. It read 2:53, in the morning. She couldn't do this anymore. Thank God she had almost finished the work assigned to her that day. However, she never left the building, not alive at least.
She had been found around 9:00 am by her boss, when he came in to tell her of her promotion for her hardworking and found her motionless in her desk chair, a close envelope In her hand.
It had not been suicide after a thorough investigation, and there were no wounds on the body.
