So...turns out we were going to dinner.

We were at a bar near the Eastside called Buckley's.

Nick was very known there. Everyone talked to him. I saw some of the kids there at school but, decided against it to say or do anything to them.

We sat down at a booth in the corner. Nick ordered me water, and he ordered himself a coke.

"Why am I here?" I asked suddenly playing with the straw in my water.

He sighed, "cause I brought you here." He said shrugging.

The waitress came over with our food. Nick ordered a burger.

"That's not what I meant." I scowled.

"You should be clearer next time then," he said smirking.

I growled. "Do you just avoid questions all the time?" I asked.

"Do you think I avoid questions all the time?" He replied.

I roll my eyes and lean back against the back of the booth, crossing my arms.

"You should be beaming right now, girls like you," his eyes glossed over me, "they would be dying to be in your position." He took a sip of his drink and a bit of a fry.

"Well...I'm not interested. I don't drool over assholes." I bit back.

"Hmm," he hummed amused.

I sighed and sat up. "I'm going home,"

He grinned. "How do you plan on doing that?" He asked.

"Walk. Last time I checked I have two legs."

"Last time I checked, you're not from around here. You don't even know where you're going." He retorted.

"Guess I'll have to find out."

He rolled his eyes. "I'll drive you home."

I shook my head, "nope, my brother would kill me if I was with you"

His eyes widened, and for a moment he looked troubled. "Claire Evens. Should've guessed your brother was Cole."

"Should've." I looked away from him.

He smirked. "Then it's settled. Your boyfriends driving you home."

"You're not my boyfriend."

He was taken aback for a moment, then quickly gain his composure. "Here's the deal," he stood up from the booth, "you and I are dating for the time being,"

"Why?" I asked.

"Reasons that don't concern you."
