My life is complex.

It's not clear skies and smiles as Claire's is.

"Ready to go, Cole?"

Zane looks at me handing me my keys. I nod and walk to my car.

"How many people are gonna be there?" Liam asks sitting in the backseat.

I shrug, "I don't know. This is my first street fight."

Zane laughs, "Streetfight. They are never in the street."

I shrug and begin driving. Zane connects his Bluetooth to my car blasting some rap music.

Liam and Zane bop there heads to the song and I feel my thoughts take over.

"Cole," Daniel stops me.

I don't turn. My back facing him.

"Think about it. Northside needs a leader."

I don't say anything and tuck my hands in my pocket.

Daniel walks up to me and turns me around, "Come on, Evens. Come to the fight tonight. It's at the abandoned factory in the Eastside. Then decide."

I look at him and nod. "Okay,"

"Cole. It's right there," Zane says.

I pull into the back of the building. My car hiding behind some old trucks. I put my keys into my pocket and grab my jacket and walk inside.

It was loud. Laughing and deep murmur coming from one area of the warehouse. I can see leather jackets everywhere.

Zane stands next to me and laughs, "It's like the 1950s threw up all over this place."

I roll my eyes and laugh, "Come on, I gotta find the Southside."

Liam and Zane follow me through the crowd. Liam's eyes are locked on his phone and Zane is smirking at the girls cheering.

I roll my eyes and Daniel walks up to me with Sebastian and Nick.

From my knowledge, Sebastian is the Westside's leader and Nick is the Eastside. The two strongest gangs.

My heart pounds and I tucks my hands in my pockets fiddling with my fingers.

"Cole, Nicholaus Tomas and Sebastian Folley. Guys, Cole Evens, Zane Parker, and Liam Mason."

Nick nods at us and Sebastian smirks, "Welcome to a beat down of the century."

Nick rolls his eyes and looks at me. His eyes scan me for a second and he smirks to himself. Daniel steps in front of him, "Okay, we'll see you later. We gotta get back to the fight. See ya."

Sebastian and Nick glance at each other and walk opposite ways. Daniel nods and walks towards his crowd.

I release my breath and take my hands out of my pocket. I look at Zane and he looks back at me.

"I don't like Nick." He says shrugging.

I laugh, "It's whatever. Don't worry about him, come on, let's go find our spot. I want to watch this fight."

One thing I could take to mind with this fight is that the Eastside are amazing fighters. Jake Anderson is fast. He's fit, but he doesn't get tired.

Nick is even better. He has reach. He's very tall. He's quick and slick. He doesn't say a word. Concentrated. Always deep in thought.

Daniel comes up to me, "How do you like the fights so far?"

I nod and clear my throat.

His breath smells like weed.

"It's not bad. Fighters are pretty good," I take a sip of my drink.

He nods and turns toward the fight. Jamie looks at me and looks away.

Parker stands next to me, and Liam stands behind me. I tuck my hands into my pocket and exhale. "What, Daniel?"

Daniel shrugs, "Nothing. Just enjoying a good fight with my friend."

I roll my eyes, "No, your stalling because you need to tell me."

"Nick has a girl." He says quickly.

I look at him, "What?"

He smirks, "Nicholaus Tomas. He has a girl. They were talking in the hallway today, and he put his arms around her in the parking lot."

I look away putting my eyes on Nick as he punches Ashton from the Westside gang. "Do we know the girl?"

He smirks clearly amused.

I look back at him, "What, Daniel? What?"

He smirks, "You know her"

I laugh and shake my head, "And how do I know her, Daniel?"

"Her name is Claire"

My heart stops.

"Claire Evens. Does that sound familiar to you?"
