I woke up because I could hear yelling.Jayden was on the floor sleep.I stepped on his hand and he popped up.
"I'm sorry"I said
"You good"he said half asleep then he walked to the bathroom because he forgot to shower.So did I.But Ima go see what's happening.I looked at time because I'm supposed to be leaving at 4 a.m.Its 1 now.I stood near the kitchen door.Jasmeena was crying.
"Jayden is staying in Arkansas with Crystal"said my dad
"Why is he gonna stay here"asked Teresa
"Good football program"said my dad
"He hates football Richard.His passion is basketball "said Teresa
"So"replied my dad
"He's gonna lose his valedictorian position if he moves"said Teresa
"No he won't.If he does it doesn't matter"he said
"We have control of his funds if he's with us"said Teresa
"Money doesn't matter"said my dad
"I want one of my kids to actually work"she said
"He has millions right now.So we have his money and the power right now until he's 19.If he graduates number 1 I'll give him his car and money"said Teresa
"Shouldn't Jayden have a say in this"I butted in

"Get out"said my stepmom with her head down
"Dad you're trying to make him out to be a jock and Teresa if he doesn't want to be a doctor or go to some fancy school.He doesn't have too.And Crystal why are you even in this.You don't know Jayden"I said
"Y-y-es I do"She stuttered
"So I'm 20 almost 21 and you knew about my brothers and sisters this whole time.All 3 of y'all are sick.And like I said Jayden should have a say in this"I said.I felt hands on my shoulder.I turned around to see Jayden with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Baby bro get your bags"I said rubbing my eyes.
"What the hell are you doing"said my dad yelling
"He's coming with me.I will have him in school Monday.But after next week don't expect him to stay with you.And you will turn over his money.And Teresa stop Black mailing him with that dumb ass car"I said walking in my room and hopping in the shower as Jay packed his things.I hopped out packed my things and we were out.Just like that.We stood on the curb and waited for an Uber.I hope Jasmeena is okay because I know they too busy focusing on themselves and not her.
"Jazz Thank you"said Jay
"I love you baby bro."I said.I feel like I know him already.
"I love you too sis."he said
We hopped out the Uber and grabbed our thingsHis ticket was waiting for him.
"How"he asked
"Connections"I said
We went through luggage search,waited a while, and got on our plane.
"Thank you for standing up for me"he said
"No problem"I said nodding off.
"How do you let them control you like that"I asked but he didn't respond.
A few hours later...
I woke up and we were still on the plane.Jayden had his phone out with his headphones in.
"God thing you're awake,meet Emily"he said looking at me
"Hey Emily I'm Jazmine"I said.Shes in a hospital bed,she's white,and she has no hair.I feel bad for her.
"I'm Emily,Jayden's girlfriend"she said with her voice cracking
"Sorry for interrupting you.I just had to see your beautiful face before chemotherapy"said Jayden
"Bye babe and bye Jazmine"said Emily and they ended their FaceTime call.
"Aweee"I said.Jayden smiled.
"Do you know why I still put up with my parents"he asked
"Well yeah"I said
"Because of her."He said
"What do you mean.So you can stay near her?"I asked
"I mean yeah but she has stage 4 cancer and if I move dad said he's not paying for her chemotherapy anymore"he said
"Wow that's low"I said
"So Yeah"He said
"I'm gonna get my name on your account so you can do whatever you want with your money."I said
"And if you wanna stay in L.A. ill pay for you and apartment or something"I said
"You don't get the point.If I move they stop paying for her treatments.Jazz I can't make that decision."he said
"When I found out she had cancer,I had to be strong for her and fight with her.Everybody needs someone on there side.Then dad made me play football and I got to see her less and less."he continued
"So you're staying"I asked
"Could you be that far away from your boyfriend knowing that he could die any minute.Jazz I just need time"he said
I can't be far away from Trey knowing that any female could get with him or I could lose him.
"I'll pay for her treatments"I said
"You don't have too"he said
"I wouldn't mind.Now keep telling me about this "Emily"I said smiling
"Before we found out she had cancer,her dad had lost his job and they had bills to pay.So we have lots of room and my dad let her stay with us until he caught us sleeping together.He immediately put her out knowing that she had cancer.I begged him to pay her hospital bills in return for my freedom.I have no choice anymore"he said
"But that's wrong,blackmailing you like that"I said
"Emily and her parents lost their house because they didn't have money.Her family hated me for no reason.They think I was trying to do things to her.They kept us apart well they tried their best too.Shortly after Emily broke up with me because we didn't talk anymore.I was sort of happy because that meant I get to see other females.But my heart was still with Emily.Every day after football practice I would go to the hospital and hold her hand and just talk to her.I only saw her for about 30 minutes.At least she got some of my time.She never told me that her cancer had gotten this bad.Her doctor told me she has 3 months to live.She said that she's not gonna tell her that and this was last month.Im scared to tell her that she's gonna Die Jazz.So the time she's here I wanna be near her"he said
I had tears in my eyes.The fact that he only has 30 minutes with her everyday really makes me think about me and Trey.About how I put my work first instead of him.My little brother is so strong.Its time to get off the plane.Its like 7 am.I have to find a way to get Jayden in Washington tomorrow for school.
"Jayden.This is your decision.If you move out here,you can fly out every weekend to see her."I said
"That's 5 days I'm not seeing her every week.Thats wasted time that I can spend with her."he said wiping his eyes
"I won't force you Jay"I said as we walked off the plane and out of the airport.We hopped in an Uber and they took us to the apartments.We walked in and got on the elevator.We walked down the hallway,I unlocked the door and we walked in.
"Aye this fancy"he said
"Thanks.Make yourself comfortable.Well for now.We have to book a flight for you so you can get back to school tomorrow"I said
"I can miss one day"he said
"But I promised your mom I'll get you back in time."I said
"Sooooo"he said
"I'll think about it.But what you wanna eat?"I asked
"Ion eat this early"he said
"Boy it's 9.What go you do at this time then?"he asked
"Play Fortnite"He said
"I hate that game"I said
"Don't disrespect my game like that."he said laughing
"My boyfriend has a PS4 in the back."I said pointing.He walked down to the room and walked back.
"What's his password"he asked
"I don't know"I replied
"Well damn I'm screwed"he laughed
"Nahhh you might be in luck.Follow me"I said getting up and walking out into the hall.Jay followed.I knocked on Darryl's door and his head popped out.
"Hey Jazz And um who's that"said DDG
"I'm her little brother Jayden"he said
"Oh well hold on let me put some clothes on."he said dashing and I saw,something I couldn't unsee.5 minutes later he come out fully dressed and signaled us to come in.We sat down.
"How come I ain't ever seen you Jayden"said DDG
"I'm from Washington"he said
"DC?"asked Darryl
"Nahh the state"he said
"Lmao I thought you was from DC.You stay right above us.Just a few hours"I said
"Oh"he replied
"So what y'all finna do"asked DDG
"Nothing.Can he play Fortnite?"I asked
"Yeah the game in the other room"he said and Jay walked out.
"Soooo"said Darryl
"Sooooo"I said
"Are we still going tomorrow"he asked
"Yeah we need to book our flights"I said
"Tomorrow At 3.Is Jayden coming with us"asked Darryl
"I don't know"I said
"How old is he"asked Darryl
"17"I replied
"That lil nigga got school tomorrow"laughed Darryl
"Yeah I know" I said looking out through the glass at the rain.Lightning shot through the sky and the thunder grew louder.
"Well That cancelled our plans for today"said Darryl.
We chilled and went from my pace to his place just chilling while Jayden played Fortnite and GTA.
