OKay, well I have decided to write down some facts about Australians, that are true, so other cultures can understand us more or something like that.
ि़ ि़ ि़also that symbol is coolios ि़ ि़ ि़

1. I don't even know where anyone got the 'throw a shrimp on the barbie,' things, because: A. Why the hell would we throw shrimp on a barbie, sausages yes, shrimp no (plus I'm allergic), and B. Most people don't call them barbies.

2. We have really weird weather. It can be boiling in some places while snowing in others.

3. Soccer is what we call your football (which other countries call it soccer?). But apparently now we are supposed to call it football, but no one does.

4. We invented wifi. #takethatworld

5. We do not ride Kangaroos. Or make them box either. You can eat them though.

6. If a foreigner walks up to one of us and says "G'day mate!" chances are we'll look at you like you're crazy.

7. We are a very multi-cultural country.

8. We had it almost if not as bad as the Americans when the English colonised us. Just ask my history teacher and he'll chat on for hours.

9. Tassie Devils are the cutest things ever. Especially baby ones, except for the fact there is disease spreading around, and killing them.

10. We used to have a creature called the Tasmanian Tiger, but they were hunted to extinction, and the last died in a zoo in I think the 1940's. (they were so cute)

11. We have never started a war, though we have been involved to help our allies.

12. We have an ANZAC day.

13. We have a massive rock in the middle of the country, called Uluru. It is also known as Ayers Rock, as it was renamed by the Europeans.

14. The Sydney Opera House was not actually designed by an Australian.

15. One of our native animals is the Platypus, which, when was first examined by specialists in England, they thought it was different animals stitched together.

16. Our money is really simple, as we have 100 cents to a dollar. Our coins are in 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent and 50 cent pieces, then 1 dollar and 2 dollar coins. Our notes are 5, 10, 20, 50, 100.

17. We put the dollar sign on the left, like $3 or $670.

18. Many of our species have been hunted to extinction by the first Europeans and their animals.

19. Our Summer is December, January and February. That's pretty obvious though.

20. Our summer holidays extend over Christmas, and only go for five weeks.

21. Our school year starts in January, and ends in December,

22. We have four sets of holidays, two weeks after term 1, two after term 2, two after term 3, and then 5 weeks after term 4. Private schools get longer however.

23. We have four terms as implied above. Each year we have one term go for nine weeks, one for ten, and the others for eleven.

24. The CSIRO invented wifi. I know I said that before but I felt in needed to be said again.

Seriously, everyone seems to think America invented wifi. BEEP NOT TRUE NOT TRUE
