As soon as Dr. Strange's footsteps were no longer able to be heard, Dr. Crane smiled, closing the cell door behind him and walking towards Lilah who quickly slipped off the table and back around the other side away from Crane,

"Hello Lilah." He greeted,

"Dr. Crane." Lilah greeted coldly in return, retrieving her chair from where it lay on the ground and sitting across from Dr. Crane at the table,

"Did you tell Dr. Strange anything about what occurs here?" Crane asked quietly, his eyes locked onto his own paperwork. Lilah gave him a small smile, she had lost the confidence she had with Dr. Strange. She knew Crane well enough now to know that he had a short temper when it came to her.

"Of course not.." She mumbled, "You can trust me. I won't tell anyone your dirty little secrets." she added with a slight smile. Looking up at her, Dr. Crane cleared his throat,

"You weren't scared at all by his presence?" He asked as though he were conducting a standard test. Lilah laughed lightly,

"Scared? What could Dr. Hugo Strange do to me that you haven't already done a thousand times over?" She exclaimed,

"If that's your only concern. There are quite a few things I can think of just off the top of my head that I haven't done to you." His tone was crisp and assertive and already she knew his meaning. He hadn't killed or maimed her... yet.

"In that case, what are we doing today?" She asked with a small smirk, trying her best to come across as sincere. Letting his gaze meet with hers, Crane remained silent, before a small smile graced his face,

"He didn't frighten you?" He repeated, causing Lilah to pause. Why ask again?

"Dr. Strange?" Lilah's brow furrowed, "No." She answered truthfully.

"But... I frighten you?" Lilah paused, her eyes locked onto Crane's before quickly averting them,

"Yes." She nodded. Crane nodded a few times,

"And... I'm the only thing that frightens you?" He asked.

"Why are you asking me this?" Lilah asked tilting her head and her eyes narrowing.

"Just answer the question." Crane said rather slowly, tapping his fingers on the table lightly. Lilah paused,

"Yes." She answered once again, she assumed he was asking if Lyle frightened her. At the beginning of their 'friendship', he did, more so then Crane, but now she realized that Lyle was no more than a puppet and that the puppeteer was the one with the power. Crane's locked his blue eyes onto the paperwork again before he disregarded the conversation completely and returned to her initial question,

"I thought we might have a chat." He said returning his gaze to the her. Lilah tilted her head,

"Chat?" she asked. Crane sighed,

"Yes. A conversation, Lilah." He said irritably, Lilah laughed softly,

"Then speak, by all means. You have my undivided attention as always." She cooed, leaning forward on her elbows.

"Your stepfather and Gordon have been asking me about your whereabouts." He informed her. Lilah shrugged,

"Did you tell them how much fun we're having as a loving couple? I mean, I thought my dry spell was bad, but this is just an all time low for me." She giggled. Crane forced a small smile,

"I informed them that you have been out of town." He said, Lilah smiled softly,

"Did you also tell them that I changed my name to Karen Keeny?" There was a harshness to her tone that she hadn't intended, but she had so much built up anger directed at Crane that it was hard to keep contained.
