The Date (Pt. 3)

We sang and had fun, i didn't feel shy about my voice, at least not around Nixon. A buzzer went off indicating that our time was up, so we grabbed some free snacks from the fridge and made our way outside "That was so much fun! We should definitely bring along Jack and Joy next time!" I said to Nixon "Yeah it would be more fun with more people" suddenly we where stopped "Hey you two!" We turned around, it was the guy we paid for the karaoke "Oh um...yes?" Nixon responded, are we in trouble? "You guys are todays winners!!" We looked at him confused "Huh? What are you..?" I silently asked "Here in the amusement park, when we let people sing karaoke, we decide whether the persons voice sounds amazing or not" we nodded "Yeah... and?" Nixon said "According to the votes of folks who heard you on the speaker, including me, you guys both have extraordinary voices and have won the special golden bracelets to have access to all the rides and events for a day!" He presented a beautiful shiny bracelet with the name and logo of the theme park "Woah no way! Those are legit!" Nixon said walking up to them "Wait I'm confused... so a bunch of people heard me... in a speaker!?" The man nodded "Yes they have! Right everyone?!" Everyone cheered. I felt the embarrassment creep in "I tried to buy these for the both of us but they cost up to $1,000 each" i looked up at them "$1,000!?" That bracelet is a thing... oh jeez "Congrats again you love birds! Oh sign here please" Nixon signed a paper, and the man puts the bracelet on him "Thanks a lot, saves me some money" Nixon joked "Yup, Young lady sign here please" i awkwardly walked up, shaking while writing my name. Then the man put the bracelet on me "There! Now no one can steal them, Have fun!" The man waved "We will!" And we started walking, i felt embarrassed beyond embarrassed "Nyx?" I'm happy we where rewarded these expensive bracelets other people have to burn holes in there wallets to buy "Nyyyyx??" But why did people wanna hear me? I can't take it, oh crap i feel so much anxiety it's almost hard to breath "Nyx!" I suddenly looked up to Nixon "Oh.... Yeah?" He looked worried "Are you ok?" I smiled "Oh yeah! Definitely!" Then i awkwardly stared at him "...Liar..." he said as he furrowed his eyebrows "Ah-! Hm..." i looked down "Come on, have fun! Loosen up, you did nothing wrong" i took a deep breath "Alright... I'm sorry..." he smiled he slightly ruffled my hair "It's alright, now let's see what other fun stuff we could do" he grabbed my hand again and pulled me with him.

We went around to any food stand of our choice and got free food since people noticed our bracelets. Which was awesome, and we played some of the stand games like ring toss, catching goldfish, throwing baseballs to cans, etc. It was fun then we were finally going to try the rides when "Oh look Nyx!" Nixon said excited pointing out something. It was a little fun dance party, they where playing fun goofy music, including people playing bag pipes! It seemed silly but fun "We should try it out" Nixon said "Alright, but I'm not a good dancer" he chuckled "Oh just come on" he pulled me over. We showed our bracelets and they let us in "Newcomers welcome!" Someone said in the microphone. We just awkwardly waved "Let's get this show on the rode!" They started playing the bag pipes and violin, this music sounded like it was from the renaissance era, but it was upbeat and fun. People started dancing "May i take this dance??" Nixon put his hand towards me "Pfff ok" i said laughing and we started dancing "Just follow my lead and you'll get the hang of it" i nodded. He started dancing and i followed his rhythm. I easily caught it and i started dancing. I started laughing thinking how silly we looked "See you got it!" Nixon said laughing. Then he started twirling me around "Woah! Nixon warn me next time!" He just laughed it off, and i did too. For once in my life i felt like i didn't need to worry about anything, and just get lost in the moment of fun. We kept dancing and dancing not giving a care in the world. I just kept looking at Nixon smiling, he noticed it and we just stared at each other smiling. Then the music came to a stop and everyone stopped dancing. They cheered and clapped, we did the same breaking the moment

We walked out in an awkward but comforting silence "So wanna try the rides after we get something proper to eat, all we've ate was junk food" i chuckled "Yeah sure" i haven't noticed, but we've been holding hands a lot. But i was really comfortable with that
