Getting Ready (Pt. 1)

Dad looked at Nixon in shook. Then he gritted his teeth and growled, his ears were down and his hair stood up once again. Suddenly mom put her hand on his shoulder. Then I felt scared, she looked mad, even more than dad, dad felt it too "We need to talk..." Mom turned him around to look at her "What the hell makes you think you can ignore me??" He looked scared for his life. Then she started dragging him back in the house. When she got to the door mom turned to Nixon "You're welcomed in Nixon if you want" she said smiling to him, that smile wasn't safe "Y-yeah.." he responded nervously. Then mom went inside. I just took a deep breath and turned to Nixon "Uh... Wanna come in still??" I asked him. He turned to me and said "Yeah sure if it's ok" I chuckled "Yeah, I'll fix us some sandwiches or something" We smiled at each other still holding hands after that ordeal and made our way in

It was the weekend, the homecoming dance was that same night, and I was in charge of everything going perfectly!! "Be careful boys!!" I said to the werewolves setting up the decorations. All the werewolves were helping and others who volunteered to help "Hey cutie!!" I looked up to see Baltroy, he volunteered to help. He was going flying up the ceiling since we couldn't afford risking anyone getting hurt going that high, and the ceiling was really high up "Like this!?" He was setting up party streamers, and wanted my input on it. I asked for him to do a ceiling drape look to the middle with a bunch of multicolored streamers. Which in the middle was a giant disco ball. I loved the way it looked, he got exactly what I envisioned "That's perfect!!" He gave me a thumbs up and flew down and landed right in front of me, graceful as always "Phew! That's really tiring!!" I smiled and just jumped of excitement "Thank you so much Baltroy, with you here I can run less risk getting one of the werewolves hurt and... Them starting a fight again hehe..." He smiled his dorky flashy smile "Hey you're cool, a friend of Nixon's is a friend of mine... Speaking of which, where is he?" I chuckled "He has to take one of his siblings to the dentist so he couldn't make it" Baltroy suddenly looked like he was holding in a laugh and mumbled something "Is that the best excuse he could come up with? How lame" I was about to ask what he said when "Hey Nyx!" I looked over and it was the twins!! In their culinary uniforms running up to me "Jack! Joy! how is the food going??" They smiled and said "The culinary class is going at it! The food will be ready just in time for the dance" They said. They are in charge of food "Thank you guys for convincing culinary to help with food" Suddenly I heard a loud noise, I then heard "Testing, testing. 1, 2, 3." It was Scarlet on the microphone, she is in charge of the stage, lights and sound "Is this good Nyx??" She said through the microphone "Yeah! Thanks Scarlet!!" I put a thumbs up. I then looked at the clipboard I had "Alright it seems like everything is going smoothly! This makes me happy..." I sighed. Scarlet joined us in the little circle we formed "Thank you guys seriously, i would have taken twice as long without your help" they all smiled "Oh no it's nothing really" Said Jack "Yeah, you've helped me and Jack a lot, we're honestly happy to help" Said Joy "Plus you seemed like you needed a hand, with how the werewolves are" Said Scarlet. I nodded "Yeah... I asked Milo and Zyon to help me control them, but they still don't like each other... Also because Trixie is here and Zyon doesn't forgive her" I turned to look at Trixie when i said that, who was also helping with decorations. I sighed, Baltroy laughed "Wow really?? That's tough..." I nodded. Then Jack spoke "Hey the werewolves are starting to argue again... For the 5th time" Pointing them out. I freaked out "Oh no! They're like children I swear!" I then noticed Baltroy checking his phone but I didn't really mind it since his job was done. I was about to walk over to the werewolves when Scarlet called me out "Hey Nyx" I turned around "How about you let us take care of the rest??" Scarlet asked. I waved my hands in the air "Oh no I can't do that to you guys!! The principal left me in charge and I can't let her down, plus what if the werewolves start acting up again, oh..." Baltroy put his hand on my shoulder "You deserve it, you've done nothing but worry and plan everything and stressing out for 2 weeks, you deserve a break" i looked at them worried "Are you sure...?" They all nodded in unison, then Scarlet spoke "Yes we are positive, you of all people deserve to get ready and have fun on the day of the dance, now go home and get ready!" Scarlet yanked my clipboard and they all started playfully pushing me towards the door "Ok ok! I'm going" I laughed and said "Thank you so much for everything" They all smiled and said "Just go" I waved and ran out the door

"So what mischief are you and Nixon planning??" Scarlet asks Baltroy a bit worried. He smiled and said "A date" Jack and Joy looked at them confused, having no clue what they were both talking about. Then they noticed the werewolves starting to fight "Gah! The werewolves!" They both yelled at the same time "Don't worry I got em'!" Baltroy said running towards them
