Bella's POV

The whole day consisted of Grayson making plans, and me sitting on the sofa in his office, reading a book about werewolves. Suddenly, his phone rang.

"Yes." He answered. I decided not to intrude on their conversation.

"Okay. Let them in." Then hung up.

"Who was that?" I asked curiously.

"One of the guards at the border. Just wanted to let me know that my brother is trying to get in."

"Why are you using a cell phone? I mean, can't you mind-link each other?"

"Yes but what about when other Alphas want to talk to me? They couldn't mind link me then. Also, if it's not urgent, I prefer them using phones because every call I make or receive is recorded." He explained and I nodded.

"Would you like a phone, little mate?" He asked me.

"Well, I do have a phone but I forgot where it is. It's fine though, I don't think I'll be needing it." I shrugged. Minutes passed by when his office door swung open, revealing his twin brother, Ethan.

"What's up asshole?!" He cheered which made Grayson growl.

"What?" He asked innocently.

"Can you not curse in front of me and my mate? You're so annoying." Grayson said rolling his eyes at his brother and returning to whatever he was doing with his laptop.

"Fine jeez. But just so you know, you mate curses a lot than me, hell she even flipped me off." Ethan said taking a seat next to me on the sofa as his warriors and Adam walked in. I just rolled my eyes at him and continued to read my book.

"Why are you here?" Grayson asked him obviously annoyed but not taking his eyes off his laptop.

"Haven't you heard? Our dear parents plus Cameron and her mate are coming over in... 4 hours." That seemed to make him stop what he was doing. I've met their parents but now, knowing that they too are werewolves, I'm honestly petrified and nervous. It's different now.

"Why was I not informed?" I bit of panic struck him.

"Well, I'm informing you now. Cameron is furious that you didn't tell her you found your mate. Also, mom and dad didn't know she's your mate nor she's a werewolf so... they want to have dinner with you tonight and they're staying here for a week." Ethan shrugged.

"Then why are you here?"

"Duh, moral support? I'm your bro. Plus I heard dinner and I'm starving so..." Ethan smiled cheekily.

"Fine. I'll have someone cook dinner." Grayson groaned.

"Uhm... I can cook. I mean, they are going to meet me and I might as well prepare for it myself." I offered. Grayson seems hesitant but agreed anyways.

"Do you need help?" He asked.

"Well, depends. How many people are we talking about?" I asked him.

"Well, there's my parents, Cameron and her mate, their beta and gamma, and then everyone in my office right now." He said. That's like 14 people. I sighed. I can do this. It's the least I could do.

"It's fine, I can do this." I smiled.

"Alright, but I'll still have someone help you, okay. If you need us, we'll be here in my office." Grayson said and I nodded, making my way out of his office.

I went down to the kitchen, passing by a few pack members as they greeted me. I saw some books on the shelf that looked like cookbooks. The only problem is, I couldn't reach it. Damn me and my 5'4 height. I climbed up the counter and tried to reach for it when I accidentally slipped and fell.
