Chapter 30

The next morning Damon and I were working in his study while Katherine was with her governess Victoria came into the study. 

"Lady Lydia, Lady Hondedea is here to see you." 

"Thank you, Victoria." 

I left Damon's study and walked downstairs I walked over to Hondedea and hugged her. 

"I came to see my best friend and mother to be." Hondedea said. 

"I'm glad that you are here." I replied. 

"When are you due?"

"I'm due during the Festival of Ghosts which is Halloween in the mortal world." 

I led Hondedea into the main sitting room and closed the french doors behind us Hondedea and I sat down on the couch. 

"You look different somehow." She said.

"I look different because I'm not a mortal anymore I am a Fae like Damon I became a Fae when I did a bonding of the blood with Damon." I explained.

"The Queen fired the members of the Kings counsel she asked Eil to be a part of the new counsel." 

Victoria came into the sitting room carrying a tray she sat the tray on the coffee table and let I poured Hondedea and I a cup of tea I handed Hondedea her tea cup. 

"Hondedea, I know who had my parents killed." I blurted. 

"Who?" Hondedea asked.

"My ex-betrothed went to King Lucas and told him that my parents refused to pay their taxes." 

"What happened to your ex-betrothed?" 

"He was hung by orders from Queen Alexandria." I explained. 

Hondedea and I drank our tea in silence and nibbled on the cookies Victoria left on the tray for us. 

"Do you know what you're having?" 

"A little girl." 

"I can't wait to meet my niece." Hondedea said excitedly. 

"Will you come to mine and Damon's wedding?" I asked. 

"Of course, I'll be there I wouldn't miss it for the world." 

Hondedea and I sat in the room and enjoyed our girl time I always enjoyed spending time with my best friend.

"Madeline with Eil?" I asked. 

"Yeah, she wanted to spend time with Eil." She said. 

"It's just like the good old days when we would hang out nothing changed about us we are still friends." 

"We both have children and guys in our lives and we are still close as ever." 

I showed Hondedea the library she couldn't believe how huge the library is we sat down in the wing backed chairs near the fire place.

"Does it feel weird to have sex or sleep with a Fae?" Hondedea asked curiously. 

"No, it doesn't feel weird to have sex or sleep with Damon because he's a Fae between me and you Damon is great in bed." I said blushing.

"Lydia, is there a chance Eil could be a Fae or Faerie?" 

"To be honest I don't know you could always ask Eil I'm sure he will tell you." 

"I still regret having a roll in the hay with you when we were young." Hondedea said ashamed. 

"Hondedea, we were nine years old trying to explore our sexuality it was harmless we never told anyone." I explained.
