31 - Cute Ukyo

Genma nodded in conclusion, "So, my son, that is why Ukyo is so adamant on revenge."

Ranma's eye twitched with anger as he gripped his legs tightly. "Y-you.."

"Mr. Saotome, I can't believe you." (Name) frowned in disappointment at him.

"You can't fault a man for trying to feed himself and his son. I had no choice."

Ranma stood up and started shaking his father by the collar. "So, you resorted to stealing their only means of livelihood?! No wonder Ukyo's out for blood!" He stopped shaking Genma and stared hard at him. "We're gonna find Ukyo tomorrow and you are gonna apologize for what you did."

Genma glanced around before he got free of Ranma's hold and guided both teens toward the door. "Well, well, look at the time! It's late, and you two have school tomorrow! Say goodnight, you two."

Ranma turned to try and argue with his father, but Genma was already running off somewhere else. He frowned before looking to his side at (Name). He blushed, rubbing the back of his head. "Uh, g-goodnight, (Name)."

She smiled at him before she put her hand on his chest. Then, she leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Goodnight," (Name) whispered before running off to her room, blushing up a storm.

The next morning, as everyone was getting ready for the day, neither Ranma nor (Name) chose to acknowledge what had happened the night before. It helped them both to be more calm around each other if they just pretended everything was the same as before. But, they would still blush whenever they happened to look at each other.

Akane couldn't help but tease her twin about it. "Ooh~ What happened? Did you two kiss or something?"

(Name) blushed and stuck her nose up in the air. "It wasn't as a 'kiss' kiss; just a friendly goodnight kiss on the cheek."

"How adorable." Nabiki smirked. "Pretty soon, they'll be sneaking into each other's rooms to spend the night."

"Nabiki, that's completely--!" Before (Name) could finish her statement, the three Tendo girls noticed that there was a large crowd gathered outside of the school. Everyone was in a tizzy about whatever or whoever was in the center of attention.

"What's all this about?" Akane tilted her head, trying to peer over the crowd to see. She saw one of her friends around the outside of the crowd and ran over to her. "Hey! What's going on?"

"Oh, Akane! There's a new student, and he's absolutely gorgeous!" The girl gushed dreamily. "Everyone's trying to get a look at him, especially the girls!"

Another girl nearby turned to reveal the crispy-looking grilled pancake she was snacking on. "He's a great cook, you guys! This okonomiyaki is the best!"

(Name) blinked. 'Okonomiyaki... New student...' Then, she started making her way through the crowd, heading toward the opening in the center. When she got there, she gasped at the sight of the boy from yesterday. "Ukyo."

Ukyo was making another okonomiyaki for someone in the crowd. He was focused hard on the food, making sure it cooked perfectly. While he was cooking, Rida and San slid up beside of him. "Can I help you, girls?"

"Once you finish that one, could you make one for us?"

"Sure. What do you want on it?" He grinned at them in a friendly way. 

San blushed and silently fangirled as Rida smirked flirtatiously and said, "I want it to say, 'To the most beautiful girl in this school,' in sauce."

Ukyo's smile turned a bit uncomfortable as he chuckled nervously. "Um... sure thing." He pointed at a boy in the crowd and told him, "Get ready!" Then, he chucked the okonomiyaki his way. The crowd clapped in amazement at Ukyo's skill.
