Continuing the same day:
While Naira was going to her room to sleep, Swarna called her and asked her to not go to office till Nani is here.

Naira(widening her eyes): But maa..that is not possible. Office mein bahut work load hai and maine abhi-abhi join kiya hai, Itna leave lena is not possible.
Swarna(Getting angry): Toh main kya kahun maa se ki tum office jaati ho, woh bhi hamare nahi, kisi aur k...woh kabhi nahi maanegi iss baat ko. Aaj toh jaise-taise maine baat sambhaal li par kal main kuch nahi kar paungi.

Naira: Par maa...hum Nani ko samjha toh sakte hain na..kya pata woh samajh jaayein.
Swarna: Tum meri maa ko mujhse jyada jaanti ho? Aur agar tumhare samjhaane k baad bhi woh nahi samjhi toh? Aur agar woh gussa ho kar ghar se chali gayi toh? Main aisa kuch bhi nahi karungi aur naa hi tumhe karne dungi.
Naira: Par maa..kal toh mera office jaana bahut jaruri hai. Bahut important presentation Dena hai.
Swarna(Getting more frustrated): Toh thik hai jaisa tumhe thik lage. Waise bhi tumhe toh hamesha apne man ki hi karni hoti hai.

Throwing these words of anger, she left without listening her further.

KAIRA Room:
Kartik was waiting for Naira to return. So that they can sleep and cuddle into each other. Naira entered the room making a sad face. Seeing her being upset, Kartik tried to enquire about it but she refused him saying she is tired. But yet he was not convinced with her answer as he knew she was happy before coming into the room.

He was pretty sure that something must have happened that she is hiding from him.

Granting her some private space, He remained quiet and thought to ask her the next day.

Next Morning:
Naira was getting ready to go down when Kartik woke up. He wondered her seeing in Saaree. So he couldn't resist himself without asking her.
Kartik: Tumne aaj Saaree pehna hai!! Kyun, office nahi jaana?
Naira: Nahi woh aaj main leave lene ka soch rahi hun.
Kartik: Leave kyun? Aur Tumhara Presentation?
Naira: Presentation toh ready hai. Woh maine kal hi prepare kar liya tha. Main call kar k bol dungi, koi aur de dega. "Not a Big Deal."
Kartik(widening his eyes): "Not a Big Deal"? What do you mean by that?
Naira(Avoiding his question and not meeting his eyes as well): Kartik I am getting late. Mujhe breakfast prepare karna hai, Tum please jaldi se ready ho jao.

And she was about to leave but Kartik hold her hand from the back in order to stop her.

Holding her hand, he made her sit on the couch and sitting on his knees, he asked her "What is she hiding?"

Naira(without making eye-contact): Main kya chupaungi. Tum kuch jyada hi soch rhe ho.
Kartik: Toh phir office kyun nahi jaa rahi? Jab Presentation tumne banaya; Puri mehnat tumne ki then why do you want to give all the credits to others?
Aisa kya important work hai that you want to take leave?
Naira: Aisa kuch nahi hai. Bas main woh soch rahi thi ki Nani aayi hai na toh ghar pe sab ke saath time spend karna.
Kartik: Time spend karne ka ye matlab nahi hota ki you will bunk your office aur woh bhi tab jab tumhe itna important presentation Dena ho.
Naira(Being Frustrated): Please Kartik you stay out of this.

And she left from there leaving him completely in a confused state.

After Having breakfast, Everyone left for the office and all the ladies sat in the living area for having some chit-chat session.

Naira informed everyone that Akshara has called everyone for the lunch. So that they can meet Nani too.

In Singhania Sadan:
Nani has been welcomed by everyone. Everyone greeted Nani by giving hugs and taking blessings.

Gayu: Naira, aaj tu office nahi gayi?
Naira: Nahi di..aaj Off liya hai.
Nani: Naira..Tum office jaati ho? Kisi ne mujhe bataya kyun nahi?
Swarna(Being worried): Maa, main aapko batane waali thi. Maine aapse kaha tha na ki woh kaam se bahar gayi hai.
Nani: Haan woh toh kaha tha tumne par yeh toh nahi bataya ki woh Office jaati hai.
Naira, Tum aaj office kyun nahi gayi? Off kyun liya hai tumne?
Swarna(Replying her on behalf of Naira): Aaj aap aayi thi na maa, Isliye. Chali jayegi, Office ka kya hai.

Throughout the conversation Naira remained silent.

After having some chit-chat, all had lunch together and enjoyed the afternoon.

Akshara called Naira is her room for some work and she excused herself from everyone.

Akshara: Naira, kya hua? Tum itni udaas kyun lag rahi ho?
Naira: Nahi, mumma kuch nahi. Bas aise hi.
Akshara: Tum kuch chupa rahi ho na mujhse? Kya hua beta? Tum khush toh ho na? Swarna jii ki baaton se aisa lag raha tha jaise unhe tumhara office jaana pasand nahi hai!!
Naira: Haan mumma ghar pe sab khush nahi hai mere office jaane se. Yeh toh Papa aur Kartik k support k wajah se main office jaa paati hun.
Akshara: Phir woh tumhe toh kuch kehti nahi hai na?
Naira: Nahi maa, mujhe directly kuch nahi bolti. Par mujhe acha nahi lagta jis tarah se woh mujhse baat karti hain.

And with this a single drop of tear skipped her eyes and she just ended up crying.

Akshara(placing her both the hands on her cheeks): Aree tum ro kyun rahi ho? Thodi modi problems toh har shaadi mein lagi rhti hain.

Naira: Par maa main apni taraf se apna best try karti hun ki main ghar ka aur office ka, dono ka kaam ache se deal kar sakun. Par phir bhi maa mujhse kabhi khush nahi hoti....Unhone kabhi mujhe apni beti nahi maana par maine hamesha unhe apni maa jaisa hi treat kiya hai.

Akshara got little tense listening to her daughter outburst but she thought to divert her mind from this by giving her a proper understanding power.

"Aisa nahi hai Naira. Woh bhi tumse bahut pyaar karti hai. It's just that unhe thoda time lag raha hai ye samajhne mein that her Daughter-in-law is a working women. Jab meri shaadi hui thi toh mujhe bhi bahut pareshaaniyan hui thi. Pehle mujhe bhi tumhari Dadi hamesha misunderstood karti thi par phir dheere-dheere woh mujhe pehchaan ne lag gayi aur phir hamara bond toh tumne dekha hi hai.
Har relationship mein thoda adjustment kar k chalna padta hai. Don't be upset..Sab thik ho jayega." She tried to made her understand.

Naira: Mumma uss ghar mein Kartik aur Papa k alawa koi mujhe pasand nahi karta. Main kitni bhi koshish kar lun sabko khush rakhne ki par koi khush hi nahi hota.

With these hurtful words she just hugged her mother. So that getting in the warmly hug of her mother, she could easily provide the open doors to her tears for getting out.

Consoling her further Akshara said "Aisa kuch nahi hai...Everybody likes you...Maine khud feel kiya hai...Bas unhe thoda time do...Sab dheere-dheere tumhe bhi samajhnge...Aaj tak unke ghar pe kisi bhi bahu ne bahar jaa kar kaam nahi kiya...You are the first daughter-in-law who is working from their family. So it's a bit difficult to accept so early. Give them some space...Am sure slowly and gradually you will see the result."

Somehow and somewhere, she made her convinced and simultaneously she taught the basic adjustments in a successful relationship.

Just the way time passes, they all enjoyed the lunch and an awaited get together. After a period of time, all the Goenka's headed to their mansion.
