Kindergarten, 2008
A drink the little girl used to love, but now loses her appetite for and despises its very existence.
The little girl was sitting at the end of the lunch table enjoying her peanut butter and jelly.
Laughing and socializing with her fellow classmates; seeing the good in the world again.
Embarrassment
That's the only thing she feels looking around the cafeteria at her classmates.
Laughing faces and pointed fingers at her bringing tears to her eyes.
One face grins in pride holding an empty container of chocolate milk.
Chloe
She had poured her freezing chocolate milk over the girl embarrassing her in front of the whole school.
The little girls' eyes no longer see a glint or shimmer of happiness in the world.
All she sees are the dark shadows and empty true colors of the world she lives in.
Tears stream down her face as she runs and barricades herself in a classroom, hoping, waiting for someone to save her from this terrible world.
