2012-2013

The little girl's eyes gleamed as she stared at her walls being covered in the bright pink substance.

Half of her room was brightly colored, while the rest were the same lifeless white walls.

She thought the white walls reminded her of herself.

Lifeless.

Empty.

Bland

So she decided to persuade her mother into brightening her room.

The little girl hoped that new colors would be how she wanted to be; loving and bright on the outside compared to her bland and empty inner self.

They painted day after day painting the little girl's room.

And she slept day after day in the living room on her mattress with nothing but a blanket for warmth, smiling.

Smiling, at the new things her bubblegum pink walls could bring and the new her it could create.
