The picture.

Damnit.

"You look tired."

I felt the boy's insanely intense gaze on me, it made me uncomfortable.

"That's what usually happens when you don't sleep enough."

I turned around in bed so that I could face Michael, he looked sad, heartbroken, like he thought this was all his fault – but it wasn't.

"How long can you stay?"

Michael let his head fall on the pillow and shut his eyes close. "Let's not think about that right now."

"Mikey."

He suddenly started grinning. "I missed to hear you say that."

"I missed you" I blurted out and blushed subsequently after that.

"I love it that you still blush around me, it's adorable."

I threw a pillow at the annoying boy next to me and we both burst out laughing afterwards.

"Michael, shush, my neighbours."

That caused us both to laugh even more. When we calmed down a few moments later I sat up straight again, looking at my boyfriend with my most serious face.

"Tell me when you'll leave."

Mikey slowly sat up as well, reaching for my hand and intertwining our fingers.

"On Monday."

I swallowed hard and nodded slowly.

We had two days together.

"You flew more than 30 hours just to see me for two days?"

He smiled. "I'd always do that for you, kitten."

I sighed and cuddled close to Michael, he laid an arm around my shoulder and pulled me to his chest.

"How did you know the address?"

"I asked Aiden."

That made sense. I nodded and closed my eyes, I felt so tired.

"I'm worried about you."

"Why?"

"It seems as if you haven't slept in days."

"I haven't."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's not your fault."

I kissed Michael's cheek and laid down in the bed, dragging him with me when I closed my eyes and yawned sleepily a bit afterwards.

"Good night, kitten, I love you."

"I love you too."

The last thing I heard before falling asleep completely was the soft humming of my boyfriend, singing a song I've never heard before.

"With your love, your love, I'm a better, better man
With your love, your love, I'm a better, better man
Darling, all of my wrongs, they led me right to you
Wrapped in your arms, I swear I'd die for
Your love, your love, I'm a better, better man"

When I woke up again the next morning I was alone in bed.

My first thoughts were that this was all a dream.

Michael was never here.

I was really going insane.

But when I blinked a few times and could get used to the sunlight I saw a pair of black skinny jeans – that were definitely not mine – lying on the chair next to my desk.
