~Previously on chapter 6

I was about to walk but I bumped into something. Or more like someone. And a wave of déjà vu enveloped me.

Gabriella

"I really need to stop bumping into people." I muttered.

I tightened my grip on the tray I was holding onto tightly. And looked up to apologize to the guy I had bumped into.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you. " I said, as I looked him in the eyes. When we made eye contact something flashed in his eyes but was quickly gone before I could decipher what it was.

As I looked down to see if anything had fallen, realization hit me and I looked up quickly to see that it was in fact Noah. I opened my mouth to speak but he was already speaking.

"Don't apologize, it was my fault for looking down at my phone." He said. Not having anything else to say I gave him a small smile as an apology and muttered another "sorry" and walked away.

I went behind the counter and put the tray down. Putting on some gloves I proceeded to fix the pastries until Amy called me.

"Hey Gabs, the boss is looking for you, she just came in." She said and I headed to her office.

Knocking on her door I waited for her to open it.

"Gabby, come in." She said as she closed the door.

"Amy said you were looking for me, is something wrong?" I asked her as I sat on the stairs.

"Of course not dear, it was Amy who told me you wanted to ask me something."

"Oh, I wanted to ask you if I could have the day off tomorrow. I need to go somewhere and it is very important for me so I can't miss it. I will even work extra hours the next day to make up for my absence." I said.

Mrs. Brown stop what she was doing and my heart skipped a beat afraid that she would say no.

"Out of the five workers I have, you and Amy are the most hard working. Don't be nervous to ask me for a day off I will gladly give it to you. So, don't worry about making up any extra hours and just take the day off tomorrow."

"Thank you so much Mrs. Brown, you are the best. I will be going back to work now, bye." I said waving her a 'bye'.

As I closed the door of her office I leaned my back to the wall and let out a sigh.

Noah

"I really need to stop bumping into people." The girl muttered.

I had bumped into a girl while I was looing down at my phone. When she looked up recognition flashed through my eyes as I realized it was the girl from the hospital, Gabriella.

"I'm sorry for bumping into you." She apologized. Gabriella looked down and quickly looked backed up as if she had remembered something.

"Don't apologize, it was my fault for looking down at my phone." I said. The girl Gabriella gave me force smile and muttered a small "sorry" and walked away.

I looked towards Emily and Cole and smiled at them. Emily got up to give me a hug.

"I missed you, you know." She whispered as she hugged me. Giving her a small kiss on the cheek I let go of our hug to sit down.
