"All I need is
a little rain,
a little coffee,
and a lot of you." –Unknown

Noah

I continued to type on the computer until the sound of a bell was heard throughout the apartment.

Getting up I walked towards the door. Looking through the hole I immediately opened the door for Emily and Cole.

"Sorry for coming without telling you. We just wanted to come visit you." Emily said as her and Cole walked to the living room.

"That's fine. Don't worry about it." I said giving her a peck on the cheek.

"Were you working on something?" Cole asked pointing to the computer.

"Not really, I was looking through some of the documents that my dad sent me to look over." I explained and he nodded understandingly.

"Oh here I almost forgot." Emily said handing me a cup.

"Coffee?"

"No, its hot chocolate." She said as I took a sip.

I frowned at the taste.

"Where did you get this from?" I asked taking another sip again. Hot chocolate is my favorite beverage and I dark it pretty often. But I've never tried hot chocolate this good.

"From the café that we go to." She said sitting on the couch. "Why is it not good?" She continued.

"No, it's the opposite actually. I really like it. I've ordered hot chocolate from that café before but it never tasted this good." I said going back to the computer.

"Maybe it depends on the person who prepares it." Cole said looking at Emily. Those two looked like they were having a internal battle with each other.

Directing my eyes to the computer I began typing. "You guys can do something while I finish this."

"Don't mind me then." Emily said taking off her shoes and laying on the couch. A few seconds later I heard the T.V turn on. I nodded and continued to type.

Ten minutes passed as I typed until Cole sat across me.

"You alright man?" He asked

For a few seconds I stopped typing.

"I'm doing better." I replied.

"Are you?" He asked again.

"I went to see her again." I said laying back on the chair.

"And?" Cole asked and I smiled at his persistence,

"I cried just like the past 2 times, except this time I was able to talk to her."

I didn't realize Emily had turned off the T.V. until she came to give me a hug.

"It's okay Noah. You're human, crying is normal." She said sitting next to me.

"We all miss her. I miss her a lot. She had become a good friend of mine but she's resting now. She's at peace and that's all that matters." Cole said.

"We want you to be happy and we will make sure of that. You're not alone. Never forget that." Emily took my hand in hers and gave a small squeeze in reassurance before letting go.

"Thank you, both of you. I'm glad I have you in my life." I said to them.

"Please, as if you could ever get rid of me." Cole said pointing at himself. Emily grabbed a pen and threw it at him but he dodged it immediately

"Just stop." Emily told him.

I sat back in silence savoring the hot chocolate as I watched those two bicker to each other.

This is what I missed. Those two bringing me joy.

And I would enjoy every second of it.

Walking inside the store I headed to the direction of the food. My shift ended some time ago and I came to store to do some grocery shopping before I had to go to my other job.

Approaching the meat section my eyes roamed through all the types of meats. When I found the bacon I searched to see which one I like the most. After picking the one to my liking I placed it inside the cart.

By the time I left the meat section I had already picked about three other packs of meat.

Pushing the cart to the dairy section, I placed it besides me and grabbed the main products.

I didn't need to buy much because it was just me now. There was no need to buy a lot of things.

After some time, I had everything I needed. The car was filled with eggs, bacon, milk, vegetables, and fruits.

I pushed the cart to a register that was empty and proceeded to place the things on the conveyer belt.

"Hello dear." Said the cashier as she checked the things.

"Hello ma'am." I replied back while placing some of the bags in the cart.

When she was done I inserted my card and pressed my in number. Once the transaction was complete she gave me my receipt.

"Have a good day!" She said.

"Thank you, you too." I said before leaving. I grabbed the bags from the cart and placed them on the floor to put the cart back in its place. When I was done I grabbed the bags and exited the store.

Once I reached my car I unlocked the back and placed the bags inside. Closing it I got inside my car and turned the engine on before heading back home.
