"Facing it, always facing it, that's the way to get through. Face it." –Joseph Conrad
Noah
"You still on for tonight?" I ask Cole.
"Of course! How could I leave you all alone with Emily and Logan? You are bound to miss me." He replies dramatically.
"Sure, keep thinking that." I reply.
The four of us had planned to go out tonight for a few drinks to take some stress off of our shoulders.
Putting a palm over his chest, he replies "You wound me, Noah. But it's okay because I forgive you."
Not saying anything, I shake my head at him.
We keep walking to the campus parking lot in silence.
Not single thought enters my mind, I simply enjoy watching the students walk, each of them preoccupied with their own lives
"Hey Noah, I just realized that I have to talk to someone about some things. You can go on ahead without me." Cole suddenly says looking off into the distance.
We immediately stop walking.
"You sure? I can wait for you if you want?" I tell him, his eyes still focused on something else. I proceed to turn around, but his answer stops me.
"So you do miss me! I knew it." Cole exclaims.
"Yeah, I'm leaving, bye." I say as I start walking away from him not waiting for him to say anything else.
I hear him laugh before his footsteps walk into another direction.
A few minutes pass before I near the parking lot and I pull out my car keys from the pocket of my coat to unlock the car.
Gabriella
Walking inside to the coffee shop from campus, I look around for any seats available. Spotting one at the back, I walk towards it to sit down.
Placing my bag to the side I begin taking out my books placing them on the table.
When I'm pulling out the last book, I feel a presence next to me and I look up to see who it is.
When my eyes land on the face of the person I immediately recognize who it is.
What is he doing here?
He smiles down at me, his eyes crinkling at the sides.
"Hey, Gabriella. Do you mind if I sit here?" Cole points to the booth seat opposite mine.
I really wanted to ask him why, but I knew that he must have a reason for approaching me.
I debate over my answer for a few more seconds before nodding a "yes" at him.
"Thanks" he mutters.
Cole places his things to the side and turns to me.
"I'm sorry to disturb you again." He motions to the books on the table.
Giving him a small smile I say "It's fine".
"You're probably wondering why I'm here, but I need your help." His response is not what I had been expecting.
"On what?" I ask, clearly confused.
"I recently bought a place for myself and I need help with the design. I'm not really sure what I want and I recalled you saying the last time we were here that you are majoring in interior design. Which is why I think you are the right person for this."

Romance"I don't believe you." Noah said. I don't believe myself either. I thought. "Well, you should because I'm not lying. You thought I felt something for you. But, you were wrong. I feel nothing for you" I said with a monotone voice pretending to be bra...
