"What if tomorrow changed everything?" -Faraway

Gabriella

A week has passed since I went to Cole's apartment. And since then, I have only seen him on occasions. He never once approached me, nor did I approach him. But he made sure to greet me every time he saw me.

I found it strange, but I appreciated his kindness nevertheless.

Throughout the week, I made sure to study for my upcoming exams this summer term.

So if I wasn't working or attending classes, it meant that I was studying.

Normally I wouldn't take the summer term because I enjoyed using the semester breaks to spend my time with James.

But that wasn't the case anymore. So I made sure to apply for the summer term beforehand.

It wasn't that bad, but the only thing I didn't like was having to attend class on a Saturday. I would much rather spend my time working than going to my classes.

Placing the bag on my shoulder, I make my way through the café. It was Monday, and tomorrow I had to meet with Cole again.

Except this time I wasn't as scared as the first time.

After slamming my locker door shut, I wrap the apron around my waist, finally ready for another day at work.

The Next day

I walk around the street looking for a restaurant called Rosie.

Earlier as I was getting ready to head out and meet Cole at his apartment. He texted me saying that he would like to meet at a different place this time.

At first, I was against it. But as I thought more about it, I realized that he might have a reason for meeting up at a different place. In the end, I agreed to meet with him there.

And now I was trying to find the restaurant.

But I was doing a horrible job at it.

I even sent him a message to let him know that I couldn't find the place. To which he responded with a picture of the entrance.

So right now I was looking up at buildings while continuously looking down at the picture.

And I had been doing this for the last five minutes or so.

At this point, I was about to text Cole until something caught my eye, well more like someone.

It was Cole, looking down at his phone. I look up and to my dismay, it was the same place as it showed on the picture.

When I looked back at Cole, he was already starring at me.

"Gabriella! Hey!" He waved at me.

I waved back softly and proceeded to make my way towards him.

"Hi," I said once I was right in front of him.

"You made it!" He exclaimed.

"Sort of." I replied not wanting to go into details.

Cole smiles before saying, "Let's go in."

We walked in together and my eyes dart on every single part of the restaurant in awestruck wonder.
