Gabriella

I awaken from my sleep due to the phone ringing next to me.

Groaning at the sound, I grab it and answer without looking at the caller.

"Hello?" I speak into the phone wincing at the sound of my voice.

"Gabriella? It's me, Cole." At the mention of his name, I sit up turning on the lamp beside me.

"Oh, hello Cole." Clearing my throat, I greet him.

I hear a noise of movement before he speaks again. "Did I wake you up?"

"Sort of, but it's fine." I tell him.

"I apologize for calling so late. It wasn't my intention to call you this late at night, but I kind of forgot to call earlier. So I was kind of hoping you would be awake when I called. Please don't mistake me as an irresponsible person, I really didn't mean to forget-" Cole rambled on and I had to intervene before this conversation got out hand.

"Cole! Hey Cole!" I exclaimed and he abruptly stopped. I took this as an invitation to continue speaking. "Listen it's fine, you don't worry about it."

I heard a long sigh once I finished talking.

"Thank you so much! You're a sweetheart. Let me get straight to the point. I wanted to know when are you free to come to see my apartment? I know you work two jobs and I don't want to interfere with your time."

"Um, I'm free tomorrow. I have the day off and I only have two classes in the morning."

"That's great, so would you like to meet around four? I will text you my address." He says.

"That's good." I tell him.

"Great, I will leave you alone now. Once again, I apologize for waking you up, and get some sleep, Gabriella." He says.

"Goodbye." I say lastly before hanging up.

Groaning once again, I rub my forehead. 

I don't know if I am upset because I woke up or because I agreed to help Cole.

Despite accepting his proposal, I was still hesitant about it.

I could only hope for the best.

Hoping that nothing would happen to him because of me.

I don't know if I could take hurting someone else because of me. But I really hoped this ends soon so that I can go back to being alone. 

A few seconds later, I received Cole's address.

I was not looking forward to this. But I couldn't withdraw now.

Seeing no point in trying to fall back asleep, I get up and head to the bathroom.

"I feel like my brain is having an internal battle with itself." Said Emily.

It was now 8:32 in the morning according to the clock that was present on my laptop. The four of us woke up a while ago, none of us happy and it seems like the sky woke up exactly like us. Grey clouds covered most of the sky, but a few rays of sunlight escaped, illuminating the city.
