Just pretend the ending of 3x04 didn't happen. ~Betty's POV~ I walked into the student lounge and saw everyone there except Archie. Unfortunately he was still in prison. "Guys you would not believe the story my mom told me yesterday!" I said to them "Wait I thought you and your mom weren't on speaking terms?" Kevin asked. I glared at him "Do you wanna hear the story or not?" I asked "Yeah." He answered "Well first I need to show you guys something... Follow me!" I said and started leading everyone to a room "Why are we looking at a window?" Cheryl asked "Because..." I pointed to the carvings of signatures my mom made in the 80's "Alice Smith, Hermione Gomez, Penelope Blossom, Fred Andrews, Sierra Samuels, and Forstheye Pendleton Jones Jr.." I said "Why are they all carved here?" Veronica asked "My mom carved them when they were in detention together. My mom, Cheryl's mom, Josie's mom, and your mom got detention because they had a fight in the bathroom. And Fred and your dad, Jug got detention for streaking in the hallway." I told them "Is that it?" Cheryl asked "No, actually. Turns out our parents used to play Griffins and Gargoyles. They called them selves 'The Midnight Club'. One night they took some weird drug which Hiram for some reason suggested they take, my mom didn't take it because she was pregnant with my brother. But... Jug, you know that thing we saw in the woods that night?" I asked "Yeah..." he said slightly confused "My mom saw it too. Their principal was there and not long after they found him dead with blue lips." I told them "Was my mom always the evil incarnate?" Cheryl asked "No, she was just a bitch." I said. She nodded. "Apparently none of our parents were the way they are now... V, your mom was the rebelling catholic. Josie, you mom was a political animal. Jug, your dad was a jock. Cheryl , your mom was the teacher's pet. And my mom was the bad girl from the wrong side of the tracks." I told them "What about my dad?" Veronica asked "He was always a criminal, sorry V." I said and patted her shoulder "I didn't really expect otherwise to be honest." Veronica admitted "Woah woah woah... My dad was a jock? And your mom was rebellious?" Jughead asked "Yeah... I didn't believe it at first either," I admitted. Fact. "my mom was very... Descriptive... About how she felt about your dad back then!" I continued "How 'descriptive'?" Kevin asked. "Well she said and I quote 'Even though I hated him, I wanted him'." I said gaged and shuddered, Jughead did the same whilst everyone else laughed. "It's not funny it's gross!" I yelled "Okay I want to know what your mom looked like back then!" Kevin said. They all nodded and in agreement including Jughead. I showed them this photo:

"She looked a lot like you, B!" Veronica exclaimed "I wish you would wear those clothes!" Toni said "I'll stick to my cardigans. Thanks." I said "Or at least some heels once in a while!" Veronica and Cheryl suggested "Okay how did we end up talking about our parents in the 80's to my clothing selection?" I asked "Also I'm gonna stock with my Converse and flats." I told them "And before you even suggest makeup... No." I said. They looked disappointed.
