Lorna sat on her bed frowning at the floor. She didn't even pay attention when the door opened. Sebastian sighed and walked in closing the door behind him. "Lorna. Is everything alright?" She looked up at Sebastian and rose her hand to speak but dropped it sighing. He sat next to her on the bed and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "What do I do Sebastian? About Adrian?" Sebastian frowned. "I'm sure everything will work out. You'll see him again." She nodded. "Besides, your brother has something that needs to be returned to him." She nodded once more and looked up at him. "Speaking of my brother. How is he?" Sebastian sighed. "Unfortunately he has fallen ill." Her eyes widened and she jumped off the bed. "What?! Why haven't you told me sooner?!" She ran out the door and ran down the hall to her brother's room. She threw the door open and rushed to her brother's side. "Ciel. Are you alright? What is your temperature like? How are you feeling? Are you nauseous at all?" He scowled at her. "I'm fine Lorna. It's just pneumonia." She frowned sitting on the bed next to him. "Oh Ciel. I'm sorry. I should have done better. I if I had done better you wouldn't have had to be in that water and this wouldn't have happened." He sighed at her. "Don't blame yourself Lorna. You did your best." She bowed her head and clenched her fists. "Ciel. I swore my life to protect you, and then I get this. I could loose you to some silly sickness because I was stupid." He frowned at her. "Lorna please." She got off the bed and left the room.

Lorna walked into her room heading for the bathroom. She turned the water on and let the steam fill the room. She undressed and got into the water not caring if the water burnt her skin. She bowed her head sitting on her knees in the tub and looked down at the water. She ignored the knock at the door and sighed. Sebastian opened the door and sighed seeing his wife. He shut the door walking over to her and looked down at her. "Lorna. Your brother will be fine. You can't blame yourself like this." She glared up at Sebastian. "It isn't?! Then what am I supposed to do Sebastian?! It's my fault he's sick! This illness could kill him!" She placed her face in her hands as she began crying. "It's my fault if he dies. I swore on my life to protect him and now look at what I've done." He sighed and knelt down next to the tub and rested his arms on the edge of it placing his chin on his arms. "You can't continue to blame yourself like this. You did what you had to in a time of need. This is merely a minor cost of what it could have been." She looked up at him with a scowl. "There wouldn't have been any cost if I had done it all right! If I had kept myself together better! If I had pushed myself harder!-" She was cut off as he gently placed his hands on her cheeks bringing her forward into a kiss. A few more tears slipped down her cheeks and he moved back using his thumbs to wipe away her tears. "I promise you Lorna. The young master will get through this illness fine. You aren't at fault for anything." She closed her eyes leaning against his hand. He looked down at the water feeling her pain since the link was now stronger. Now that she had all her power back the link was stronger. He removed one of his hands from her cheek and used his teeth to take his glove off before going to dip his hand in the water. He merely dipped his fingers in before he scowled and pulled his hand out of the water. He sighed an got up taking his other glove off. Lorna looked at him confused feeling his anger. "What's wrong Sebastian?" He bent over the tub and reached in lifting her out of the water. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and he moved her to one arm to drain the tub. "Don't do that again." She scowled and looked away. He sighed looking down at her seeing the noticeable burns on her body from the hot water. He shook his head and carried her to get a towel and gently set her on her feet. The heat of the room began getting to her and she passed out just as he grabbed the towel. He quickly turned around as he felt the connection cut off. He grabbed her wrist pulling her to him before she could hit the floor. He sighed and wrapped her in the towel before carrying her out taking her to the room. He sat on the bed and took the towel off of her to dry the ends of her hair and the rest of her body. "You really are some work." Sebastian looked up as he heard someone knock on the door. He quickly wrapped the towel around her once more before the door was opened. Myron scowled at the two. "What happened?" Sebastian returned the scowl. "Forget about it. What do you want?" Myron sighed. "Mariam won't stop crying for her mother. Even Malakai can't get her to stop crying. I'll tell you. Those two have grown pretty close too." Sebastian frowned down at Lorna. "I'm afraid she won't be awake for a bit. I'll do what I can." Myron rolled his eyes at Sebastian but Lorna instantly woke up as Mariam's cries filled the hall. She shoved at Sebastian trying to get up but he grabbed her wrist. "Lorna wait." She scowled at him. "My daughter is in a time of need and I'll be dammed if I let anyone stop me." She smacked his hand away and shoved Myron out of the way not even caring she was just in a towel. She only had to take a few steps down the hall before she was met with Doll carrying Mariam. She smiled softly down at Doll and held her arms out to her. "I'll take her from here Doll. Thank you." Doll nodded handing the crying child to her mother. Lorna gently rocked Mariam and the child began to calm down. "It's alright Mia. Mama is here." Lorna held Mariam close to her as she rocked her. Sebastian walked out the door of the room and sighed shaking his head. Myron ran over to Sebastian from Joker's room and pulled on his pants. Sebastian looked down at him curiously. "What is it Malakai?" Malakai pointed in the direction of Ciel's room and Sebastian frowned nodding. "Thank you Malakai." He crouched down to Malakai's height to whisper to him. "Don't let your mother see your uncle no matter what alright? Not until I come out and give the okay." Malakai nodded smiling up at his father. Sebastian quietly left to see Ciel and Myron left the room looking over at Lorna with a scowl. "Lorna. Go get dressed!" She glared over at him. "Oh bugger off." He looked at her in disbelief. Malakai snickered and Myron glared at him. "That isn't funny!" Lorna walked past the two boys entering her room and shut the door. She laid Mariam on her bed before getting dressed. She smiled at Mariam picking her up and carried her out of the room. "Now, how about we go see uncle?" Malakai grabbed her dress and she looked down at him with a soft smile. "You want to come with us Kai?" He shook his head. "Cookie." She giggled softly and bent down. "After I see your uncle." He pouted and tugged at her dress as she went to walk away. She looked at him shocked and he gave her a pouty face before instantly smiling. "Outside?" She rose a brow at him. "Is there something going on Malakai? Are you alright?" She knelt down in front of him and moved Mariam in one arm running her fingers through Malakai's hair with her other hand. He frowned looking at the floor. "Time with mom." She gave him a soft smile. "You missed me too huh? Don't worry Malakai. Mama will spend some time with you as soon as she is done taking care of your uncle alright?" He instantly had an idea that she couldn't deny and nodded. She got up and he ran off. She only got halfway down the hall and handed Mariam to Myron before she heard a crash. Her eyes widened and she instantly ran down the hall to the source of the sound. She stopped in the doorway of the kitchen and gasped at the sight of glass all around Malakai with cupboards above the counter opened. "Malakai! What are you doing?!" She rushed over to him and bent down picking him up setting him on the island of the kitchen. "Are you hurt at all?" He held up his leg and she frowned seeing the deep cut. "Oh Malakai. Why did you do that?" He frowned looking down. "Cookie." She frowned at him. "I told you to wait until after I saw your uncle. "Sorry mama." She sighed and kissed the top of his head. "It's alright. Just don't do it again alright Kai?" He nodded and she looked around. "Wait right here alright? I'm going to go get something to wrap it." He nodded and sat waiting for her. She quickly came back with a cloth and a roll. She wet part of the cloth going to him and wiped down the gash to clean it before using the dry side to try to stop the bleeding. As soon as the bleeding stopped she used the roll to wrap up the wound. "There. It's all better. Now let mommy clean this up before you get off that counter alright?" He nodded and watched her sweep up the mess. Sebastian walked up to the doorway and scowled. "What happened in here?" Lorna stopped what she was doing and sighed. "Malakai just hurt himself that's all. I've already taken care of it so don't worry." Sebastian rose a brow at Malakai and Malakai gave him a thumbs up. Sebastian sighed bowing his head. Malakai looked at him confused and Sebastian looked over at Lorna. "Your brother wishes to see you. I'll finish this up." She nodded and handed the broom to Sebastian. He waited till she was out of the room before turning to Malakai. "I appreciate that you did as told, but next time don't hurt yourself alright?" Malakai nodded smiling. Sebastian chuckled and ruffled up Malakai's hair with his hand.
