Chapter 24: Stupidty

•Hayden's Pov•
It was that stupid Brandon guy. I hate him, can't we just be alone?!
"Uh, did I interrupt something?" Phew he is clueless
"Pfttt interrupt what? We were just talking. Right Annie?" I gave her an evil look
"Yep, just chit chatting"
"Ah, okay. Annie I just wanted to tell you that Caleb and I were going to get ice cream. Wanna come?"
She looked over at me with puppy dog eyes
"Ugh, fine go!"
Don't wanna expose myself
"Sorry, I mean sure go have fun. I gotta help my dad with something anyway. Seeya gorgeous. Brandon" I nodded my head at him as I left.
•Annie's Pov•
How can Brennan see nothing is going on? Ugh it makes me so mad, but I can tell him what happened between Hayden and I. I can't let anyone find out.
"Just let me change" I went to my suitcase and got a bathing suit and closed the bathroom door and put it on, I threw on denim shorts and a singlet and slid on my thongs. I quickly tidied up my hair and grabbed my phone and was ready to go.
"K, let's go" we locked the door and waited for the elevator.
There was a little bit of awkward silence
"Annie, are you okay?" he said looking at me in the eyes.
I stayed silent
"Julianna" he said sternly
"Tell me, please"
"I-I c-can't" I stuttered.
He looked down at me and hugged me tightly
"I-I'm fine. Don't worry"
He shook his head and let it go.
We walked into the elevator and met Caleb downstairs. We walked over to this little ice cream shop called 'Cold Stone Ice-Cream Parlour' it was freezing inside, which was a good thing since its boiling outside. Brennan and walked over to the register and ordered for us
"1 vanilla and 2 strawberries in a cone please" he then paid as we waited for them to scoop the ice cream into the cones.
"Thank you" he said, taking the change and handing Caleb and I our strawberry ice creams
"Bro, I have cash" Caleb said laughing
"Thanks" I said quietly
"Nah dude, it's all good. No problem, Anns"
we sat down and i handed Caleb my phone
"Tumblr photoshoot please" I said giggling as I posed for many shots with my ice cream
"Here ya go, lil sis" he handed my phone back
"Thanks bubba" I smiled and put my phone in my pocket and continued eating ice cream.
Brennan finished his ice cream really quickly, it was strange.
"Bye guys. Gotta go!" he waved as he left the store in a hurry.
"Caleb, is he alright?"
"Yeah he's fine. Let's walk on the beach walk once you finish your ice cream"
"Sounds fun!" I smiled and I wiped my mouth with a napkin "Let's go"
