Chapter 35 - Hang outs

I woke up in Polly's bed which was rather comfortable but I could never consider my own bed, it would be like replacing her and i wasn't trying to do that. I pulled the duvet off and smiled, I had a thing from sleeping in shorts and vest tops even in the middle of winter, it's not something I've ever understood but I could never sleep in full length bottoms, i found it restricting.

I decided that I should probably sort myself out before I go downstairs and face the happy bunch, if their morning people? We might get along just fine. I sorted myself out and walked down the stairs to see them all sat at the table eating breakfast. I smiled to them all.

"Good morning" I said trying to be nice and polite since they had done the same to me which letting me stay in there house.

"Good morning, breakfast?" Alice asked me in a sickeningly sweet tone.

"No thank you, I can't eat on a morning" I replied trying to keep it nice and genuine.

"Oh, well what are your plans for the day? Betty tells me your not enrolled in school, your going to have to do that" she said with a tone change when she brought up school being awfully serious which almost made me want to laugh.

"Yeah at some point me and dad are going to go sort it out with Weatherbee" I said as I grabbed milk from the fridge and made a hot chocolate.

"Your father? Do you think that's best since you live here?" Alice asked seeming kind of pushy about my father.

"I mean, he's my dad and I could put you down as a secondary contact? So you'll both find out?" I said more of question since I didn't really know how to answer any of what she was asking me and I looked towards Betty for help.

"Mom, let's no be pushy, FP is Lorna's dad so he should know if anything is wrong with her too." She said and i thanked her and smiled.

"Right well, let me know when you've sorted it out" Alice said as she walked towards the sink and I looked at Hale who didn't seem to like me very much, did I not fit into their idea of a perfect family?

"I think I'm going to meet Kevin today but I don't know" I said with a shrug to Alices original question

"Well that's good, be back for 9 and don't bring back any serpents. We don't accept them and their jackets in this house" she said I felt abit taken back, she didn't accept serpents? Would she accept me since I was going to be one eventually?

I nodded and went upstairs and started to get ready for the day, it was a Saturday so Kevin wouldn't be in school and I hoped he wanted to see me after everything that's happened I wouldn't blame him. If he was busy I'll go see Toni.

I flipped my phone over and looked at the screen.

Archie: Goodluck with the Coopers, they hate southsiders

Jughead: Soon, you've got a meeting on Monday about it with Weatherbee, Goodluck he was pretty mad about your fight with Reggie

Kevin: I have boxing all day or we could have hung out.

Toni: hey doll!, meet at southside? I can think of a serpent that won't stop talking about you x

I laughed at all my friends, they were stupid. I noticed Veronica never messaged me back but I wasn't too bothered. She's probably busy.

LJ TO ARCHIE: Yeah I noticed

LJ TO JUGHEAD: Oh I barley touched him, if he's so bothered why is he letting me back?

LJ TO KEVIN: Don't worry about it Kevin, you've got this.

LJ TO TONI: Wait who? And I'm so there! x

I decided to be more true to myself and my side of town and put on the clothes I wanted to wear instead of staying hidden from everyone which was a task and a half.

I brushed my hair into its normal wavy mess, pulled on my black high waisted jeans, black crop top, I grabbed a chocker to put with my necklace, I grabbed my fake Dr Martins pulled on my leather jacket and did my make up a little and grabbed my phone.

Toni: Trailer park? x

LJ: I'll be there in 25 x

I walked downstairs and grabbed the keys for my bike and my helmet.

"I'm heading out!, I have a meeting with Weatherbee on Monday" I yelled through the house for Alice to hear and hopefully not be a bitch about later. I walked outside and smiled. I went towards my bike and started her up, I climbed on and put my helmet on and went towards Sunnyside Trailer Park.

I pulled up outside my dads trailer and I smiled as he walked out with a tall man that I didn't remember.

"Hey!, this is Lorna tall boy" my dad said as he came towards me and I smiled back.

"Nice to meet you Tall boy" I said and he nodded and looked at my jacket.

"She's already a serpent? She's not done any of the traditions!" Tall boy ranted and carried on ranting and I blinked at him.

"No she's not a serpent yet Tall Boy, it's just a normal jacket" My dad said, I moved away from him when I saw Tony,Sweetpea,Fangs and Jughead. I walked towards them.

"There she is!" Toni said as she came towards me with a smile which quickly got bigger as I moved.
"And she looks hot" she laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Ehhh I disagree, it's just clothes" I said while shrugging.

"They let you leave like that? That I didn't expect" Jughead said as he study's my outfit, the coppers?

"Alice and Hale? Oh they haven't seen me yet aside from Breakfast" I pointed out and I looked at fangs and Sweetpea who were being very secretive over by a trailer.

What were they gossiping about.

"He likes you" Toni said as she pushed me, who's he? What?
