Chapter 59 - A musical

Kevin came racing through after mine and Jughead's moment I guess you could call it, he seemed excited about something which was crazy but okay. I was wondering what could have had him so excited. "Hey kev what's up?"I said to him with a small smile.

"Just the girl I was looking for!, so you and I know your voice is beyond beautiful and I'm doing Carrie the musical and you have to have a part Lorna! Please!" He said as he got on his knees and begged me which made me laugh, this was my favourite Northside boy hands down but he was loopy and I swear he was as dramatic as it comes.

"Kevin, I would love too but I'm not feeling a musical. I'll help you any other way I can though?" I said to him with a shrug that was the truth, I wasn't much of a musical person if I was honest they bored me so being in one was not a good idea.

"Help me with casting then? Be like my co director?" He said to me, damn this boy needs all kinds of help but I loved him so leaving him hanging when he was asking for help was not an option for me. 

"Yeah of course" I said as I picked him up off his knees and smiled to him "as long as you never ever do that again!" I said to him with a laugh mainly because that was the most embarrassing thing I had ever seen/ had to taken part in and I never wanted it to happen again.

"Thank you! Auditions tonight guys!" He yelled as he walked out of the room and I shook my head, he was crazy honestly.

"I'm so down!" Veronica said and so did Betty I heard they had a run in and weren't really the best of friends right now which sucked but who knows, they'll work it out probably. I looked towards Jughead and he shook his head which made me laugh. Looks like he's not doing that.

" I can't wait to opening night!" Fangs said as he pulled Sweetpea away from us and he winked in my direction and I rolled my eyes, I knew that Midge would definitely be trying for it and that was his reason for being excited. She was dating Moose but she had a fling on the side with Fangs which made me sad since he was worth so much more than a side fling.

"Oooh I'll be there" Sweetpea said as he looked in my direction, my feelings for him were still pretty high and I knew I was only falling harder and harder for him and his charms but not yet, I was hoping we could start something in the summer since everything was abit of a mess right now.

I looked towards the clock and smiled, English lit which meant I had Toni,Fangs,Sweetpea and Jughead for two hours, this was sure to be fun. I walked towards the lesson and watched as Reggie looked in my direction and whistled. I rolled my eyes and went and sat in my seat at the back and in the corner.

"Woah, Jones you look good" Reggie said as he came up towards me and I rolled my eyes some more. " word is your helping Keller with his casting? And I think we should have that hang out soon" he said to me before walking away and going to his seat as My friends walked in and Toni came and sat next to me.

"Guess what! Me and Cheryl finally!" She said with a huge smile and I smiled back, I was so happy for her. She finally broke through the shell which was Cheryl blossom, she filled me in about how Her mother had sent her to the sisters of quiet Mercy for being Gay, her Jose and Veronica had gone for a rescue mission during which was amazing! I was so glad that they had gotten her out of that hell hole.

"I'm so happy for you Topaz!" I said with a smile, we looked towards the boys who looked at us with a questionable look and we shrugged it off before looking towards the board and listened to the dumb substitute teacher.

Once my lessons were over and I headed to the auditorium where the auditions were being held and I saw the bull dogs in the back and I looked towards the other side and saw the serpents, I heard Reggie say something about how he was going to ask me out and I rolled my eyes. I didn't want guys right now, I wanted to get over my own life issues first before guys became a thing in my life.

I sat next to Kevin and smiled towards him, we started the auditions and listened to people who could really sing and some who really needed work but all were good and I made a list of people for each roll, Sweetpea came over half way through and told me he was going to head home and he'd be in by the time I got back and I simply nodded, by the end of it I looked towards Kevin and we compared lists and they pretty much matched. I gave him a high five before going to leave when I heard Alice call my name, I turned around to face her and I smiled.

"Can I help you Alice?" I questioned and I watched Kevin pull out his phone and start to film this, did he think I was going to hit her or something?

"Well I wanted to talk to you about chic and what happened" she said and I sighed, I turned my body to face her fully and she opened her mouth and I was about to stop her.

"Yeah we can but I'm talking and your listening, I'm not dropping the charges and your son did this off his own back so get over it. I won't let him go out and do that to another girl ever" I said as I walked away, Toni was stood with Cheryl at the doors and I saw her smile as I walked away from Alice grow, I wouldn't be pushed around again.
