Chapter 48 - Dont mess with fire

I pulled up outside the cooper household after I took a quick trip to sweetwater river to sketch somethings since I hadn't really had much of a chance to draw recently which was depressing and something I loved to do since before I could remember or so I was told.

I walked into the cooper house and was taken back to see a blonde haired boy who looked rather creepy sat in front of the living room Fire with Alice crowded round him trying to help him and Hal screaming about something in the kitchen with Betty. I walked into the kitchen and Betty looked at me.

"Thank god!, can you help me?" Betty asked as she held up a needle and some thread for stitches, I had mentioned to her that I knew some medical things since people in the club use to fight all the time. I nodded and dropped my things before going over to the boy.

"Alice? I've got this okay" I said as she moved aside and as the boy took of shirt and I looked towards the gash and nodded, I grabbed some alcohol and looked at him.

"I'm not gonna lie, this is going to hurt a lot. Bite down on something okay?" I said as Alice got him a shirt to bite onto. I poured alcohol onto the gash and I heard him screamed into the shirt as I started to put the needle though his flesh to put the wound close, I concentrated trying to get this right so it wouldn't get infected and so it wouldn't take too much time. Once I wash done I cut the thread and tied them. I got up and smiled. "Done, don't get them wet or do anything to pull them apart, they'll break and we will have to do it all over again" I said as I went into the kitchen to put everything away.

"He's my brother" Betty said with a smile and I nodded, I understood her want to protect her brother and to love him, I was the same with Jughead.

"It's okay Betts, I don't mind." I offered her a smile as I washed my hands of his blood that had got on me.

"He's going to be staying with us Lorna, you two don't mind alternating the room do you?" Alice said to me with hope in her eyes and I knew this was her child and I wasn't, I wasn't a priority like he was to her.

"That's fine by me Alice, as long as he doesn't go through my stuff" I said with a smile, she was nice to me so the least I could was be nice back and offer him a room to share with me.

"Thank you Lorna" she said as she took him upstairs, looks like I'm on the sofa for tonight but that meant that his stitches had time to heal and he had time to get better that was important to us all expect from Hal clearly. Alice came down and she smiled to me. "Go and get some stuff for you to sleep in please, I want him to rest as much as possible" I nodded and walked up the stairs and into Polly's room.

"Are you my sister aswell?" He asked and I shook my head before sitting on the desk chair.

"I'm Betty's boyfriends twin sister" I said with a laugh realising how that story sounded so weird.

"How come your here then?" He asked with a confused face. "Shouldn't you be living with your family?" He asked.

"Our house wasn't big enough, in a way we're kind of alike. I didn't know them until a few months ago" I said as I went into Polly's dresser and pulled out some clothes and underwear. "We're going to have to share a bathroom, hope you don't mind?" I said leaning against the door frame.

"You saved my life!, I don't mind at all" he said to me and I nodded before going downstairs and I heard Alice and Hal fighting over Chic? What an odd name.

I heard my phone go off and I picked it up, Fangs? Why was he calling me.

"Hey fangs what's up?" I said as I put my stuff down and sat on the sofa.

"Lorna? You need to get over here now!" He yelled down the phone and I was confused "Wyrm now!, we need you!" He yelled and I shoot up and hung up.

"Alice I'm going out!, my dad needs me" I said as I ran out of the door with my Helmet in hand. I started up my bike and sped off towards the southside and the Wyrm. What could have happened that was so important for them to need me?

I parked my bike and ran inside through all the people and let's say that I wish I hadn't, there sat the women that made me life a living hell, looking so smug and happy about everything and her eyes landed on me and her smile erupted making me so angry.

"Penny" I spat out to her.

"Penny here was telling us about what your dear brother did to her" Tall boy said to me and my father, I looked towards Jughead and saw his face drop and he mouthed 'I'm sorry' I watched as she rolled up her sleeve

"That's where my serpent tattoo use to be!" She yelled and looked at Jughead with so much hatred and my dad looked conflicted between what I had told him and what was happening now, she was a serpent. Great. " I took a look at the notices you guys got, there legit. I know how to push them back months" she said as she looked out at all the serpents, Fangs put his hand on my shoulder and Sweetpea took the other shoulder, did they think I would do something?

"Name your price Penny" my father said and I looked at him with wide eyes, no he couldn't be serious.

"I want back in the serpents but I want him gone and I want my pound of flesh" she spat at Jughead and I lost it, she couldn't come in here and threaten my family and push them around like she had done to me my whole life !

"Bullshit" I screamed as Fangs and Sweetpea pulled me back and everyone looked at me. My father saw the hatred in my eyes and shook his head telling me to shut up. I broke free of fangs and Sweetpea and walked up to the table.
"You don't get to come in here Penny and demand anyone! You don't get to come in here and bully my family like you did with me! You don't get to come in here and threaten my family do you hear me?" I yelled at her and her smirk only grew.

"Don't yell at me sweetheart" She spat at me and I smirked to her and I felt myself so close to laughing in her face.

"You saw what I did to Malachai when he crossed me Peabody, I'm hoping you will learn faster" I said as I looked towards fangs who came closer to me with Sweetpea on the other side.

"Don't threaten my child" she stud up and I could see the anger rush to her face and I smirked some more.

"I've not even threatened you yet Penny" I said with a smile as I grabbed her wrist and set her hand down on the table and pulled a flip knife out and set the knife down and missed her hand purposefully and looked at her face, one of shock and fear. "Now I'll threaten you, don't mess with fire Peabody. You'll get burnt" I said as I let go of her hand and moved away and towards Jughead.

"Your going to let her get away with that! She was about to hurt her fellow serpent!" Penny yelled and I smirked some more.

"I'm not a serpent Penny" I said as I turned around, I saw her smile grow as she got tall boy to stand up and try act tough, I saw my father mouth fly open, but it was too late. Tall boy came towards me and I did what I know how. I fought, he came up to me and I smiled.

"That's enough tall boy!" My father yelled.
