I'm posting this after posting the first chapter, whoops! Anyways, I came up with this after watching and old ass cartoon I used to watch all the time, and I figured I'd do a merpeople story. I'm probably going to make this a seperate book, but I'll explain it all here.
So, you're a mermaid! Woah, how cool is that? You live on Ocean Avenue (shout out to the older crowd who knows what I'm talking about), with your dad. There's been sayings a group of mysterious merfolk that don't look like any others have been terrorizing the town, but you don't care. You've been cooped up and want to leave.
Your tail stays one color, but depending on your mood, a light sheen of another color washes over the color of your tail, showing your feelings.
Green=Sick
Pink=Flushed
Purple=Embarrassed
Red=Anger
Yellow=Happiness
Blue=Sadness
Grey=Curious
Normal Color=Neutral

Smitty(Jaren): Orca Whale tail
Toby: Octopus Tentacles
Swagger(Eric): Regular Merman with scared tail
Jay: Koi Fish Tail
Mason: Clown Fish Tail
Matt: Dolphin Tail

So I know that we're going to be picturing different descriptions, but I'll try and draw out what I mean with the different tails. But anyways, I believe that's a good enough explanation now. I'm invested in the story and I'm the one who is writing it 😂
