Lost Girl (Voltron Fanfic)

Two

-Keith-

"Nat, please just answer your phone," I whisper, looking back at the people in the shack

"What do you want Keith?" I hear a voice say "You know I don't want to talk."

"It's about Shiro." I start

"Keith, I told you I am done with him! He isn't coming back." She says, a tired tone in her voice

"Nat, I need you to listen to me and actually listen to me." I start "You know I wouldn't lie to you. Not about something like this."

"How am I supposed to know this Keith? We haven't talked in over a year." She explains

"And who's fault is that? If it was up to me, I would've kept talking." I start, my voice starting to rise a bit "You are the one who gave up. You're the one who stopped talking to me, not the other way around."

I hear her side go silent as she processes everything. I take a deep breath and look back at Shiro on the bed as the other three guys are in the other room looking at all the information I have gathered.

"Nat, could you please just come to the shack. I'll explain everything to you if you would just come." I whisper

"Fine, but doesn't mean I'm staying. And please stop calling me that." She says and hangs up

"Keith, I think he's waking up." The Pidge dude yells

I look back and see Shiro moving as his eyes flutter open. He sits up slightly as he looks around the room when his eyes finally land on me.

"Keith?" He asks

"Heya Shiro." I start

"Where's Nat?" He asks

"On her way." I say "Don't call her Nat, she hates it now."

I look at the other two when I hear something outside and I point Shiro into the direction where he can get clean clothes.

I walk to the front of the shack and see a figure taking off their helmet, letting their long dark hair fall out.

"Natasha, you actually came." I start

"I told you I would. Don't act so surprised." She starts "Now what is it that you had to show me so bad?"

I turn towards the shack and motion for her to follow me as I start to head back inside. She follows me slowly when she first steps into the room, I hear a gasp come out of Lance's mouth.

"W-what is she doing here?" Lance asks

"She's Shiro's sister if you have forgotten that," I say

"Who's my sister?" Shiro asks, coming into view

I hear Natasha gasp as her hands cover her mouth as she studies her brother. She walks towards him as I step out of the way.

"Nat?" Shiro asks as he looks at her

She shakes her head as she finally just gives in and runs over to him and hugs him. I hear her head make a thud as it hits his chest.

He smiles as he slowly wraps his arm around her, kissing the top of her head.

"I missed you kiddo." He says

"I-it can't be you. They said you were dead!" She says

"That is what they thought. I don't know where I was, but I know I was a prisoner." He says

He looks over at the rest of us when Natasha finally lets go of him and looks back at me.

"I'm going to go talk to Keith for a minute." She says

"Alright, I think I'm going to go outside for a bit," Shiro says

Natasha grabs my hand and pulls me into a different room and just looks at me, then at the ground.

"You weren't lying about this." She starts

"I told you I would never lie about something like this," I say

She looks at me then shakes her head and walks over to me and hugs me.

"I'm sorry for everything I've done this past year." She whispers

"Hey, don't worry about it. You needed time." I start

"I shouldn't have pushed you away." She starts

I look at her with a small smile on my face as she steps back and watches me. She sets her hands on my shoulder then goes on her tiptoes and places a soft kiss to my cheek.

"Thanks for finding him, Keith." She says

"I told you I would Nat, you know I would never go back on a promise," I say

She looks out at the other three guys that are here.

"If he's alive, maybe his crew is too." She whispers

"He doesn't remember anything," I say

"That much doesn't shock me." She says "He probably has a bit of PTSD if we're being honest."

"You know your brother way to well." I start

"He raised me for majority of my life." She points out

I laugh as she smiles back at me then looks out one of the old windows and sees Shiro staring up into the sky.

"You want to go make sure he's okay?" She asks

"What about the other three?" I ask

"I need to figure out who they are. I've seen them at Garrison but I don't know names." She says

I nod as I walk outside and she walks to the other three.

Hopefully, she doesn't realize that is Cargo Lance...

I walk over to Shiro and set my hand on his shoulder.

"How did you know that I would need to see my little sister?" He sighs

"Shiro, she's been needing you more than she's letting on," I say

He looks at me then the shack.

"We should head in huh?" He says

"Yeah. Before your sister figures out which Lance is in there." I say

"It's that one Lance kid who tried to take her fighter pilot spot isn't it?" He asks

"Yeah..." I start

"Keith, I'm going to kill you!" I hear Nat yell

"I think we're too late." I laugh

"She found the secret." Shiro laughs

We both run into the shack and see Nat sitting in the corner, watching Lance's every move.

"Hey, Nat, he found me, I did not find him." I start

"You could've at least warned me that Cargo Lance was going to be here." She starts

"You weren't even letting me talk. Besides I needed to get you here so he was on the bottom of the list to tell you." I say

She glares at Lance then at me then she shakes her head and looks at everything I have pinned up.

"What is this anyway?" She asks

"That is something I needed your help with but you refused to talk to me." I start

She sends another glare my way then pushes herself away from the corner.

"This looks like a lion." She says as she points at the picture closest to her

"That's what I've been saying," I say

"We should check it out. Maybe it can help Shiro figure out what happened to him." Pidge suggests

"Sounds like a plan." Shiro says "We can head out in the morning. We all need some rest."

Everybody agrees and finds somewhere to take a small nap.
