"I see you finally got that alone time," Lance says from behind me
"Lance..." I warn
"What? I'm just stating the obvious." He laughs "How was it?"
"Nothing happened." I hiss as I ball my fists
He finally looks down at my hands and he quickly looks back up at me.
"What happened to your hands' dude?" He asks
"Mine weren't the ones bleeding." I start "Nat broke and she punched her mirror."
"How bad were the cuts?" He asks again
"Pretty bad. Her entire mirror is shattered. I think I'm going to go help clean it up after dinner." I explain
Lance nods before he looks towards the lounge.
"I guess one of us actually gets the girl finally." He laughs
"You do realize that before Shiro left, Nat and I did have a thing." I start
"Of course I knew about it. But you really think I cared about that." He laughs "No offense."
"Lance, we both knew that you didn't care about that," Nat says as she catches up with us
I look at her and smile as I see how she styled the shirt, the little knot on the side, tight enough to where it's almost a slight crop top. I look at Lance and see him staring before shaking himself out of it.
"Well, who can blame me?" He starts "You were literally the cutest girl in our grade yet you were going after the loner."
"The "loner" was my best friend." She laughs
Lance rolls his eyes as all three of us walk into the lounge together when I see Shiro and Allura standing around the table, discussing something. I watch as they take one look at Nat before they stop talking.
"Let me guess, you guys were talking about me." She starts
"Nat, don't assume the worst." Shiro starts
"Uhm, after what just happened, I don't blame her for assuming the worst." I start
"And what exactly happened?" Allura asks
Nat holds her hand up, showing the bandaged hand before sticking her thumb back into the jeans pocket and looks at her brother and the princess.
"Just had a mental breakdown and punched my mirror." She says throwing in a shrug in the end
"You punched the mirror?!" Shiro almost yells
"Yeah." She says
"Would you like to explain why you had the breakdown?" Allura asks
"Not like you don't already know." Nat starts
"What does Allura already know?" Hunk asks as he walks in with Pidge
"The only reason the Galra kept me alive was because I was the only person who could touch the weapon pieces while they were in hiding." Nat explains as she doesn't break eye contact with Allura "Princess, would you like to explain why. As you knew before all of this went down."
I look over at Allura as she takes a deep breath before looking over the others as they all look between Allura and Natasha.
"So I might not have told everyone the full truth to why I had to be the one who grabbed the weapon." Allura starts
"What do you mean by full truth?" Pidge asks
"Only certain people can touch the pieces when they are in hiding." Nat starts
"Those certain people are either royalty or somebody with both Altean and Galra blood in their bloodline." Allura finishes
"If they aren't either?" Shiro asks
"They suffer the consequences." Allura says "Which could mean anything to minor injuries or even death."
"But Nat touched them and nothing has happened to her," Lance says
"That's because she has both Altean and Galra blood in her bloodline," Coran says
"But she's my sister and I can tell you that I am 100% human," Shiro says
"They can skip generations." Nat interrupts "I don't know how, but it's possible. If you think about it, it's possible for certain traits to skip certain generations."
"It must have skipped your parents and Shiro," Coran says
"So this means your only half-human?" Lance asks
"I don't know my percentages but probably something like that," I say
I look at Allura as she looks at me and starts to nod before looking towards the ground as she turns around.
"We haven't run into any Galra in a few days and I don't know if it's just me, but it's starting to worry me." Allura starts
"You may not trust me all the way at the moment but I do hope this information will help." Nat starts "Before I left, they were talking about waiting on your move. See where you want to head next and try to gain the advantage."
She walks over to the table and looks at it before bringing up the map and tapping a few spots on the map, purple dots showing up where she touches.
"That's where they're camped out and the planets are all fully supporting them by choice." She starts as she turns around to look at us
"We'll be especially cautious when we're around those planets." Shiro starts
"Another thing, people have become afraid of the Purple Lion, the Galra are going to be looking for the Purple Lion," Coran says
"We're going to need the Purple Lion to remain at the Castle of Lions for the next little bit until they are not as afraid," Allura says
"Which I wasn't planning on piloting for the next little bit. Not until I'm in a better spot with myself." Nat says "Until I'm ready to pilot again I plan on staying on the ship or with Keith or Shiro."
Everybody agrees as she looks at us then at the ground as she moves away from the table and walks towards the door.
"If you guys don't mind. I'm going to go train for a bit. It might help me clear my head." She says
They all look at her before they all nod as she leaves and I look around.
"Keith do you know why she's so closed off about this kind of information?" Hunk asks
"She's always been closed off. But this whole Galra thing just pushed it even further. I don't know what exactly happened." I say "Like we keep saying, just give her time."
"We need to get ready to land. We're going to Olkarion." Allura says
We all nod as we head out again and I walk towards the training room.
