Twenty-Nine

-Shiro-

"You knew didn't you Allura?" I start

"Zov came and told me. I didn't agree with it but he didn't give me a choice." Allura explains "He wants to try that or try to train her to take the throne."

"She can't take the throne! She isn't even remotely ready for that!" Pidge yells

"She shouldn't have to take on that burden. The burden of rebuilding an empire that has spent centuries in the hands of evil." Allura starts

I shake my head before walking towards the control panel, starting to type things into the computer.

"I'm going to try to reach out to her before we head to fight Zarkon." I say, "For Zov's sake, she better still be in one piece."

-Natasha-

I look at the hailing frequency before sighing as I see it coming from the Red Lion.

I sigh before wiping the tears as I look towards Zarkon's ship.

I lean over to accept the frequency, not looking at the screen.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Keith asks

"I didn't have a choice..." I start

"What do you mean?" He asks

"Zov, he's been working with Zarkon..." I explain "He lied to me about this whole thing."

"What? You need to get out of there!" Keith says

"I can't, it's too late," I say, looking out the front

"How is it too late?" He asks "You should just be getting there!"

"No, I didn't even go to meet with Kolivan." I explain "Zov brought me straight here!"

"Damnit, Nat," Keith says

"It's fine. I'll act like I'm with them." I say "It won't be hard I've done it before. From what Zov was telling me, my mom was Zarkon's pride and joy."

"Wait, did Zov know our plans?" Keith asked

"No, he wasn't high enough ranking to know the plans," I say

I hear buzzing when I look forward to see drones and battleships flying towards me.

"Keith, tell everyone that I'm sorry that I didn't get to tell you guys," I say "Tell Shiro and Pidge that I love them. I love you Keith..."

"Nat, don't think like that!" Keith yells

"I'm sorry Keith..." I whisper

I lean over before hanging up, looking towards the drones as they start shooting at the lion.

"I'm sorry guys," I whisper

"Zov was working with Zarkon!" Keith yells as he runs into the control room

"What do you mean?" Kolivan asks

"I don't know how we didn't see it, but Zov was working with Zarkon. He told Zarkon about Nat! He just took her to their base, didn't even stop at the Blade's base." Keith says

"Did you get ahold of Nat?" I ask

"Only for a little bit. I don't know how this is going to go, but we can't let Zarkon hurt her." Keith says

"He won't hurt her. If she looks anything like her mom in his eyes, Zarkon won't even think twice about hurting her, even with all that evil running through his blood." Kolivan says
