Havana and Mathis walked together towards the loft she lived in. The kitten in Havana's crocheted bag, being carried gently towards her new home.

"We should all have a barbecue!" Havana suggested as she took out her keys. "You don't live far from here right...actually I've taken you away from almost your whole day I'm so sorry." She gushed, suddenly feeling guilty.

Mathis smiled at her, thinking that she was actually pretty cute. Mathis has originally thought that Havana might not have such a...intellect that she does. Thinking that she was maybe shallow and the personality she showed was fake but it was all natural.

She opened the door and let him inside, "I'll be right back...I think Dante's still asleep. She whispered to him, standing on the tips of her toes, into his ear. Mathis nodded, smiling at her and shaking his head.

"Who knows how Dante deals with that one." He muttered as she rushed to the bathroom with all Kona's goodies.

Mathis walked over to their kitchen. Deciding he'd put away the groceries. He looked up as he heard footsteps from the stairs. "What the hell are you doing here?" Dante asked with his signature smirk. His dirty blonde hair a mess, his shirt off and his sweatpants on.

Mathis smiled back at his old friend. His best friend. The two men had been friends ever since they were born. Well, Dante was five years older than Mathis who was 25. They had grown up together either way, Mathis had skipped two grades in grade school so he's been a year behind Dante in school.

"Hello to you too jackass." Mathis said, keeping his smile. They were polar opposite, other than the fact that they were both sarcastic and both didn't want to be in long term relationships. Mathis was always the good boy. While Dante was the bad boy that every girl craved.

Mathis got his fair share, but Dante was always ahead. Not that Mathis cared, he was never jealous of Dante.

"Where's my girl?" Dante asked, helping out with the groceries.

His girl, Mathis repeated in his head. His eyes flickered over to the bathroom. "I believe she went to the bathroom. I'm surprised you let her go to the market by herself...or did you piss on her beforehand?" Mathis asked, holding in his laugh. Dante flipped his friend off, biting back his own laugh.

"Fuck off. I don't need to do that now, she knows who she belongs to." Dante said cooly, obviously not hearing the wrong in what he just said.

Mathis blowed out a puff of air, he was surprised. Both because he's never seen Dante be so serious about something, and because he noticed Dante doesn't know he's creating a toxic relationship. "And another thing, what took you both so long?" Dante asked, the two men's eyes clashing.

"Dante." The smooth sweet voice rang out, they looked away from each other and towards the girl. Her big brown eyes shined, but then shrunk as she let out a big wide smile. Mathis observed as Dante smiled back, He cupped her freckles spotted face.

"Hello angel. What are you up too?" He greeted, playfully

"Nothing much. Mathis and I bumped into each other at the market." Her eyes looked behind her lover and to Mathis who awkwardly looked away.

"Mathis do you mind having lunch with us? It's okay if you wanna go home, it's been a long day."

Mathis wondered, something rude but relevant, how did someone so vanilla like Havana end up with Dante? He watched as Dante wrapped his arms around her as he was now standing behind her, his chin resting against her small shoulder. "Just stay, I'll help...monitor your cooking." Dante added, smirking at his best friend.
