Nadia was the only person who could be found in the Common Room this late... Or maybe it would be better said early. She sat in front of the fireplace, her eyes observing the moving flames while her mind rushed with worry. It was the night of the full moon, and Remus, James, Sirius and Peter were all out there, roaming around the Forbidden Forest until its passing.

She had tried to convince the boys to let her come with them and be an extra set of hands, or better said, paws, should something go wrong. As she thought back to the conversation, Nadia couldn't be sure which one of them protested louder. All four had dismissed the idea as soon as she had brought it up. She may be a honorary Marauder, and she may know the secret, but they did not want to take that risk, not yet. Maybe at some point she would come with them, but Nadia was still new to the whole situation and they didn't want to take the chance of something going wrong and her getting hurt.

She understood their reasoning, and while she believed it would all be alright, they had more experience with it all than she did. However, Nadia couldn't help but wonder whether there may be more to it than they were letting on. In the last couple of weeks she had noticed Sirius growing distant and not talking as much, at least not with her.

She got the feeling that all four of the Marauders were keeping something from her, but she couldn't pin point what it was. Multiple times she had asked Sirius whether he was angry with her or if she had done something wrong. But each time he reassured her that his behaviour had nothing to do with her. Nadia knew him well enough by now to know when he was lying. And it worried her.

She combed through her memories with such precision, trying to remember what it was that she said or did, but she had no clue. And neither of the boys wanted to tell her, all of them saying it was something Sirius wanted to deal with on his own. She could understand that, but she still worried about losing a friend, if not even all four of them. It felt like that was what was happening.

Not wanting to share her worries with Lily, Marlene or Mary because she knew they would instantly attack the boys for making her feel in such a way, Nadia instead confided in Nicholas. Their friendship had grown stronger as they started spending more time together. Their act was proving to be successful because ever since their 'relationship' became public knowledge, Nicholas didn't even hear a word from Thomas anymore.

And Nicholas himself was growing more confident with who he was now that he was given the time to accept it properly. He had even admitted the truth to Henry and Adam who accepted it within an instant. Knowing the truth also allowed them to become the biggest Nadia and Nicholas gossip spreaders in Hogwarts as whenever people began to think their romance had fizzled out or they didn't see enough of them together, one of those two came up with a new story.

'He organized a romantic date in the Astronomy tower.'

'She's meeting his parents during the holidays.'

'He bought her a gift in Hogsmeade for their one month anniversary.'

Unlike Nicholas with his friends, Nadia didn't even get a chance to tell the Marauders anything about Nicholas. Very early on she noticed they avoided the topic like the plague, and she couldn't really understand why, but after a while she stopped bringing up the name unless she was telling them she had plans with the seventh year boy.
