"So I found this really nice apartment yesterday and the rent isn't that bad" Elena told me as she, Kemoni and I sat at the table. Kemoni was in her high chair eating and Lena and I were just talking while Ingave Nasir his bottle
"How many room?"
"Just one"
"You need two cause your niece coming to live witchu"
We both looked at Kemoni and she stopped eating and smiled
"Moni you coming to live with me"
"Girl her daddy would kill both of us"
"I ain lying" she agreed and her phone lit up on the table, multiple Instagram notifications flooded her phone and she huffed "I thought I turned this shit off"
"Somebody over there poppin. I forgot you got famous out there in LA"
"Girl fuck that app and them people. All they talkin bout is that shit Donovan went on live saying about me"
"What?"
"It was Christmas Eve he was on live and people asked him about me I guess so he got ticked off. Saying fuck me, I was just using him for a come up"
"Fuck Donovan! You ain needed him for no damn come up. You was with him before that lil money and you was perfectly fine before him"

Lena started laughing and she shook her head
"Don't worry about it. Karma gone come real soon for him. He said my store was gone be a flop too but based off these numbers here" she scrolled on her phone and adjusted her glasses a little "My lil store boomin"
"I could've told you you're store was gonna do good. The only person that doubting you is your lame ass ex. How it's looking?"
"Ain't even been open a whole month yet and we got a couple hundred in"
I leaned forward a little looking at the numbers on her phone, feeling Nasir's tiny hand touch mine like I was about to take the bottle from him so I looked down
"Calm down lil boy. I ain taking your bottle"
"Ma" Kemoni calmly called out to me and then took one of the chicken nuggets she was basically playing over and reached it out to me
"No baby I'm good"
Kemoni then reached it to Elena "hmmm"
"No you eat it. I'm good boo"
Kemoni sat the nugget down and picked up another one and I looked at Elena
"That Girl is weird as hell. Like seriously"
"Like her daddy. But it's okay cause I love my niece with her weird ass"
"That's why besides her daddy, you her favorite, unless that damn Kd comes around"
I took the bottle from Nasir's mouth and started to burp him on my shoulder, feeling him grab onto my shirt
"I still can't believe Kentrell finally proposed to you. I was about damn time"
"I'm still shook myself. I don't even think we ever had like a serious conversation about something like that. Mostly cause I didn't want him to feel obligated to marry me or something but nah, he did it on his own. Now I feel extra special"
"That boy fell in love with you outta every hoe he'd fucked with, made you the mother of both of his kids AND give you a ring. You should've been felt special"
"To be honest I'm surprised he stayed with me this long. Especially how I treated him when we first got together and he fucked up"
"Well HE fucked up then. He had to face the consequences of his actions."
"I know... I wonder what would've happened if I never took him back"

"I swearrrr" I laughed "I could've killed his burnt ass but I ain salty nomore. You see how we turned out"
I could hear Kentrell's feet shuffling down the hall. He had been asleep all day so I didn't bother to wake him up. Once he appeared into the room he was rubbing his left eye as he walked
"Well good afternoon" Elena said to him and he stopped rubbing his eye
"Fuck y'all" he rudely muttered and Kemoni reached out the same nugget she tried to give Elena and I
"Hmmm"
He took it from her, causing her to smile and she went back to eating her other ones. Once her attention was off of him, he threw the nugget in the trash
"Why'd you throw it in the trash?"
"Cause ion want that soggy shit"
"Well why did you take it?"
He pointed to her and she was still smiling "that's all she wanted somebody to do"
I continued patting Nasir's back and a deep burp came from his tiny body
"Ewww. That sounded like it hurt" I said and felt my arm warm up a little as his spit up dripped down my shoulder
Kentrell grabbed him from me and grabbed his burp rag, wiping his mouth while I grabbed a piece of paper towel and cleaned my shoulder
"Perks of being a momma huh?"
"Of course" I sarcastically smiled and she laughed
