"Ion see how you did this pregnancy shit twice" I told Noel as we sat on the phone while I rubbed my growing baby bump. Lately I just haven't been feeling it. I'm never hyped up to do anything, I'm tired 24/7 and all I do is sit in the house unless they come drag me out. Then the crazy thing is I'm only 4 months
"I just think you been acting like this because you nervous about what the test results gone say. When you supposed to get them anyways? It's been a few weeks"
"They should come in the mail any day now. I'm feeling impatient my damn self because I just wanna get this over with. Besides Donovan won't stop blowing up my damn phone all of a sudden"
Noel laughed and I could hear Kemoni in the background yelling at her to stop
"This lil girl gone make me slam her. Telling me to stop laughing... take yo bald ass head in the room witcho daddy then" she told Kemoni and I laughed, soon hearing Kentrell talk shit in the back as well
"Y'all forever talking shit to each other in the house. ALL OF YALL"
"Girl I ain lyin'. Nasir starting to run his mouth too"
"Then kids are kentrell's twins. Whatchu expect"
"I might have to go and have a baby by another man then cause ion like these ones right he-" she was instantly cut off by Kentrell and I could hear a thud sound causing her to burst into laughter
"I'll pull yo whole uterus out don't play" Kentrell told her and I shook my head while she continued laughing
"Choose your babydaddy wisely" she told me and I smacked my lips
"I wish I could've."
"Well on the bright side look at it this way. Either you gone have a baby with somebody who genuinely cares about you and loves you.... or you just secured a mean bag"
"Bitch I hate you" I laughed and looked at the time on my watch. The mail should be in by now so I jumped up and walked over to the key rack, grabbing my keys and exited my apartment.
"Where you going? It sound like you finally leaving the house"
"Don't get too excited. I'm only going to the mailbox"
"Oh. Hopefully the results in there cause I wanna know who this baby's father is too"
I pressed the button on the elevator and it automatically opened so I hopped on, presses the ground floor button and waited the ride down
"Noel. Let me call you back"
"Alright" she responded before I hung up. As the elevator doors opened, I walked off and immediately ran into Kd
"Yo fatass decided to come out the house?"
"No. I just came to check the mail then my fatass going back upstairs" i answered as I pushed him upside the head and went over to the mailboxes. I unlocked mine and pulled the mail out, seeing nothing but stuff about the store and unnecessary mail
"Oh my gosh" I groaned and Kd reached inside the mail slot, pulling out a bigger envelope that was kind of stuck inside
"Ah Hell" he muttered under his breath and I snatched the envelope from him to see what he was talking about. It was the test results
For some reason my heart started beating out of my chest and everything seemed to grow serious
"Oh lord" I sighed "lemme open this in my apartment cause ion want nobody seeing me cry"
Kd followed me to the elevator and I pressed the button. Waiting for the doors to open. Once we hopped on it seemed like it was taking longer than usual for us to reach my floor and once the elevator stopped I looked over at Kd. He seemed like he was more nervous than me
Once we reached my floor we practically hurried to my apartment because I really wanted to get this settled. As soon as I walked in the house, I ripped the envelope open while Kd closed the door
"You gone rip the papers up, slow down"
"I can't right now" I responded while I dropped the envelope and read the paper inside. As I looked through both papers about a good three times to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, I felt my eyes start to water up and looked at Kd
"What?"
"The baby's yours" I told him with a smile and Kd's expression instantly changed
"Hold up, forreal" he grabbed the papers and looked at them himself as a smile stretched across his face. Kd threw the papers on the counter and pulled me into a tight hug so of course I hugged him back
"I got you and this baby forever"
"I know you do" I responded, still smiling as a breath of relief came over me. I could finally be at peace now

I stood there in Kd's embrace for a while, not wanting to let go for some reason, however my phone started to vibrate in my back pocket from a call so I released from his embrace and looked to see Donovan calling. I sighed and answered the phone
"Bout time you answer the phone. So you gone let me know wassup with these results or what?"
"It's not yours Donovan" I bluntly told him. He got quiet for a while then I could hear him laugh
"Wow.... and you probably knew that this whole time but you was tryina find a reason to hold on"
"The fuck?!"
"You know what, bye" and with that he hung up the phone. I rolled my eyes and tossed my phone over to the counter, rubbing my temples afterwards
"Oh my gosh" I exasperated and looked over at Kd, who was again reading the test results he had thrown on the table earlier
"Can't believe it can you?"
He shook his head then scratched it while looking over at me
"The hell we gone do with a baby?"
I shrugged and scratched my elbow "Shit, ion know. Feed it, wash it.... change it. I'm used to being an aunt"
"Well I guess we bout to experiment together. Let's just pray we don't fuck this baby up" Kd responded I agreed as I placed my left hand on my stomach
"I swear... well Teamwork makes the dream work" I slapped his hand and we both burst out laughing
