"Nasirrr! You got some nappy ass hair boy"
I ran my hands through his head full of hair and he continued to frown up, hating when people touch his hair. Once I saw he was about to cry I eventually stopped and Kemoni hurried over to me, hearing his whine
"And Whatchu come over here to do?"
She just ignored me and grabbed his pacifier, shoving it into his mouth so I took it from her
"No mama. You doing it too rough"
"The hell yall in here talkin bout?" Kentrell asked as he walked into the living room. He sat down on the chair beside me and threw his arm across the back of it while Kemoni smiled and jumped in his lap
"Babymomma...."
"Yess babydaddy" I responded while I put Nasir's pacifier in his mouth then looked over at him. Instead of responding, he was busy watching paw patrol on tv with Kemoni
"KENTRELL!"
He instantly looked over at me "What?"
"Nigga, you was talking to me. What the fuck?"
"Oh" he chuckled and I rolled my eyes while he continued talking "Whatchu want for Valentine's Day"
"I don't know... you gave me pretty much everything"
"Well I need you to go ahead and think of something"
I looked down at Nasir then back over at Kentrell and started grinning "I want another baby"
Once I said that Kentrell rose his eyebrow
"You do? Shit we can go make one right now then-"
"I'm just fuckin' witchu. These two are more than enough"
Kentrell smacked his lips and nudged me a little bit while I laughed. Kemoni then looked over at me and held her hand out to Nasir
"Me!" She demanded, which I've picked up as her way of saying give me
"No. You ain't holding my baby"
"Why she can't hold her brother?"
"Cause you saw what happened last time. Hell No"
We both looked at Kemoni and she started smiling which made me roll my eyes
"Kentrell... you better not let her drop him"
He pulled Kemoni back to him and I laid Nasir in her lap while Kentrell helped her hold him. She continued to smile while looking down at him and he just kicked his legs making noise
"Y'all so cute. Look at y'all"
"Now imagine if we had one mo'. It'll look even better" Kentrell told me and and I shook my head
"Nope. Not no time soon. If you wanna throw another one in the picture it better be Kaleb, Bryson, Micah or Lena's baby cause I'm not pushing another one out this year or for the next few years"
"We'll see"
"Yeah okay We'Ll sEe. Especially until I get that official ring" I held up my left hand and he shrugged before looking at me
"All that is on you. I did my part, everything else from there is on you. You do the planning and shit"
"I'm sick of y'all saying that but y'all never like what I plan"
"Well shit, this all you now. I'm just waiting"
I slouched back in the chair and looked over at Kentrell "but the question is do we really have to do a wedding. We don't really fuck with nobody to have one and that's too much stress to plan one"
"Like I said, I did my part. You just hit me up when you ready for whatever" he simply responded while looking back down at Kemoni and Nasir as she stroked his hair
"Well..." I turned to face him smiled "you know what you can give me for Valentine's Day?"
"What?"
I rested my elbow on the back of the chair and rested my head on my hand "your last name"
Kentrell looked at me confused and I laughed
"I knew you were special... let's just go to the courthouse and get the papers signed Kentrell.. we can celebrate later"
"OHHHH. You sho' you wanna do that?"
"Yeah. Besides, I've been salty for a while cause I'm the only person with a different last name in this house"
Kentrell burst out laughing but I rolled my eyes.
"Funny huh? Playing around but Nasir almost ended up a brooks. How funny is that?"
"Getcho ass beat" he muttered and I smiled "ain naming my baby no damn brooks"
"Tuh" I responded back and Kemoni kind of pushed Nasir up out of her arms so I grabbed him and laid him on me, seeing that he was about to fall asleep
"No!" Kemoni hollered as she crawled off on kentrell's lap and onto mine, trying to lay on me too and I smacked my lips
"Girl! Take yo jealous ass on. You ain't ever wanna lay on me before"
She laid her head on my other shoulder and started smiling with her childish ass
"Now you forreal about doing this Noel?" Kentrell asked for the thousandth time and I nodded
"Yeah why?"
"Cause the minute we do this, you forreal stuck. Ain no walkin' out, them lil tired ass single mother threats, none of that"
"Kentrell no matter what that paper say ima still do my lil tired ass threats and still walk out. Ain't shit gone change but my last name" I reminded him while I handed Nasir to him and laid Kemoni on my lap
"Ight then"
I looked at him and saw him smiling then smirked to myself
