It was the first Saturday of March which only meant one thing, the annual school fair was this weekend. While it might sound lame, it was the best school event. There were rides, greasy yet delicious fair food, games, and now I could finally be a girl that clung to her boyfriend on rides.

I decided on wearing a black long-sleeved off the shoulder crop top with jeans. I stole my Mom's black Hermes belt which made the outfit ten times better.

Our friend groups decided to go two hours before closing when all of the little kids would be gone and chaperones would be wine drunk.

"Hey, Alena is here." I said walking into my parents' room

My parents were getting ready for a double date night with friends.

"Do you need cash?" My Dad asked me

I shook my head, "I should be fine, did Asher leave already?"

"Yeah about thirty minutes ago, what time will you be home?" My Mom questioned me

I shrugged, "Who knows."

"Elizabeth, that's not a valid answer. Be home before one please." she requested, "Your brother too."

"Got it, goodbye." I waved before walking out the door.

I got in the backseat of Alena's car since her boyfriend was upfront but luckily Zara was in the back so I wouldn't have to third wheel.

"What's up?" I greeted everyone

"Hey." Her boyfriend waved

Zara grinned, "Lilia is riding with Ryan and my new pursuit won't be arriving until nine."

"New pursuit? Who?" I asked Zara

"It's Zack! Wouldn't they be cute? Zara and Zack." Alena laughed

I nodded, "I loved the alliteration."

Her cheeks turned red, "Same."

She was clearly smitten with this Zack guy and all I wanted was for my friends to be happy.

"Are you ready to see William?" Alena asked me

"Actually, his name isn't William anymore or it's not going to be." I informed her, "He's getting it legally changed."

She made a face, "To what?"

"Parker Reid Fitzgerald. Reid is his Mom's maiden name." I explained to her

"That's a solid name, I can't blame him for wanting to change it." Zara put in

I nodded, "It fits him. He's officially Parker. Just don't call him William anymore, it's a sensitive spot now."

"I got it completely." Alena nodded her head in understanding

"Did he go to New York just for that?" she continued

"No, it was mostly to see his Dad's will and spend time with his family. Nothing else, I don't know why he went during a school week for something that seems so minor." I spoke

"Seniors will always find stupid reasons to skip." Zara mumbled

True.

"Where is he going to college?" Zara wondered

"Uh, he told me he was between Vanderbilt and UCLA a few weeks ago. I guess we'll find out soon." I huffed

Alena turned towards me as we reached a stoplight, "Well, I hope he picks UCLA for you guys' sake."

Me too.

When we got to the parking lot, I immediately noticed Parker's car. I ran over to him and jumped on his back.
