Peter woke up the next day feeling way better. His sensory overload was barely noticeable, although it was still there. He got dressed in just a comfy tshirt and some sweatpants, shoving a bottle of Advil into one of the pockets.

If there were any loud noises, it would enhance his sensory overload and make it so much worse, so he made sure to bring the Advil for just in case.

He picked up his phone from the small table next to his bed and checked his messages.

Ned had texted him more than 30 times, most likely about the field trip that was today. Peter didn't really feel like responding to them, though.

He already felt bad about not being able to go on the field trip with his friends; he didn't really want a ton of reminders about what he was missing out on.

Peter walked out of his room and into the kitchen, expecting to see one of the Avengers cooking breakfast. He was slightly confused when he saw that nobody was there, but then he saw the small note on the front of the toaster oven.

'Gone in a meeting. Be back at 1. Have fun and feel better. -Avengers'

It was written in Tony's messy scrawl, so it obviously wasn't another one of Clint's pranks. He had made Peter think that it was 5 in the morning by dimming all the lights, shutting the blinds, and switching all of the times on the clocks in his room. That was how the Avengers found Peter sitting on the floor of the kitchen eating straight from a bag of cereal.

Reminded of that memory, Peter took out a box of Lucky Charms from the cabinet and poured himself a bowl, starting breakfast.
