Daryl's POV
"Oo. Matutulog na din si Bianca eh," reply niya sa text ko nung tanungin ko kung matutulog na ba siya tutal malapit nang mag 3 am.
"Sige, goodnight. I love you," reply ko agad.
"Ok, bingi," reply din naman niya kaya napatawa ako.
Nagsend naman ako ng maraming puso sa kanya. Nireplyan niya naman ito ng emojing naka-irap.
Napataldyak tuloy ako ng maraming beses sa kama habang iniisip ko 'yung nangyari kanina!
Why is she so cute?
Bigla naman akong may narinig na katok sa may pintuan ng kwarto ko kaya dali-dali kong tinago ang phone ko sa may ilalim ng kumot.
"Son," rinig kong sabi ni 아버지[abeoji] sa labas. "Are you awake?"
(Translation: Father)
Napatayo tuloy ako sa kamay at pinagbuksan siya ng pinto.
"왜요, 우리아빠 [wae-yo, uri appa]?" tanong ko.
(Translation: Why, dad?)
Agad siyang pumasok sa kwarto ko at hinarap ako.
"Is it true that we lost a lot of our investors due to your stubbornness?" tanong niya.
Natigilan ako.
What should I say?
"걱정하지 마세요 [geokjeong-ha-ji maseyo], I'll look for new investors soon," sagot ko.
(Translation: Don't worry)
"New investors?! 당신 미쳤어 [dangsin michyeoss-eo]?" galit na sabi niya.
(Translation: Are you out of your mind?)
"You have lost Mr. Kim's trust! Do you know how much he helped us when we almost reached bankruptcy?"
Napahinga ako ng malalim.
"I didn't break his trust," mariin na sabi ko.
"He told me you acted arrogantly to his son," sabi naman niya. "Do you know that he is the successor of their company?"
"But he insulted your beloved company!" sabi ko. "He said we are just a leech—"
"그래서 [geuraeso]?" tanong niya na parang wala lang 'yon. "Who are we to be insulted?"
(Translation: So?)
"Geuraeso?!" inis na ulit ko sa sinabi niya. "Didn't you worked so hard just for the company to reach the top? How can you let him insult your hardwork?!"
"A hardwork without them is useless."
What does he mean by that?
"It's true. We are just a leech to their company," sabi pa niya. "They have always supplied us money; and yet we were not able to return any profit to them since last year."
How can he agree to that?
And it's only just a year! How can he accept those insults when he was able to stay at the top before without their help?
"The revenue has been slowly decreasing— and some investors are no longer interested to our company."
Lumapit siya sa'kin na tila nagmamakaawa.
